An open book is a new adventure -- 4 January 1980

"You guys are fine," I said, though my voice betrayed how exhausted I was.  I was just happy that both of my boys were okay.

I had my arms crossed, " We should let everyone get some rest." I said standing myself up. I wasn't happy with Sirius at all. I was however not going to continuously yell at him. I have had my say, sort of. I wasn't going to add to it. " Get some rest.." I said as I walked out of the room.

I stood up and nodded.  It would be good if I left, I thought.  I went over to my sister-in-law and smiled at her.  "Congratulations, Ember," I said to her, politely, trying to act like we were not family.  I went over to Dodge.  "You best listen to Lily, D-ude," I said, catching myself before I said dodge.  But where did 'dude' come from?  Well, it was the first word to come to mind that started with a d.

I looked at Lily.  "Alright," I said, sighing.  "Do you think one of us should be here?" I asked Lily quietly.  I was not sure if I trusted Ember or Sirius to behave.  They never did.

I smiled at them.  "Thanks, Reese, for helping with him," I said, indicating my pain in the ass husband.  I watched him leave and then turned to James and Lily.  "You don't need to worry about us."

I shook my head, " I've already told June if they move what to do. " I said with a smile on my face as I looked to the two of them. " They do anything June handles it....then I get here.." I warned. If they woke me up tonight. There would be hell to pay.

I laughed slightly and shook my head.  "Trust me... we're all together," I said to Lily to calm her down, "no one will do anything."

I helped Chloe get up and bent down to give Ember a kiss on the forehead.  I smiled over at Sirius.  "Despite the troubles, you two did great," I said, looking over at little Dean Alexander Black.  I could see Sirius all over that boy... I smiled at them and, with Chloe at my side, we left.

I still did nto believe my sister that they would behave, but I knew that they would not leave the room really because they were all together... even if Dean had to stay in oxygen for a little while.  I grabbed my wife's hand.  "Goodnight," I said to Ember and Sirius.  I gently tugged Lily out of the room.

I smiled at my brother and sister.  "Goodnight," I said.  "We'll behave."  At least for the most part we would.
