Curiosity Killed the Cat -- March 1977

I nodded slowly, " Yeah, he should be alright...It is still raining outside. " I hoped Remus was holding up. " You know he'll only tell us how much he's hurt..." I told him. " Remember Remus told her...she's going to be worried about him." I told him.

I nodded as James made sure I was covered. His robe was good and all. But I didn't want to be without him at all. I felt helpless to do anything. I'm thankful we're going to be forgetting about this. As hard as it will be. I will force it out of my mind.

"Knowing James and SIrius, everything worked out fine," I said. I gave her a look. "You don't need to worry about me... I go through this every month. Are you alright is th ebetter question."

I smiled. " I'm better now...thanks." I felt like I could just fall asleep in his arms and I would be totally safe. " Sorry.." I mumbled. " It's something I do...."

I nodded at Sirius and we walked. And then I nearly ran into Remus and Chloe. "You guys are all right," I said, relieved. I had been more worried than I realized.

I smiled, " Good.....you guys are okay." Wrapping myself some more in the robe. I looked over to Chloe. She looked awful, but she looked better then she had.

I was very glad that the other two were alright. I was so worn out, but I doubt I'd be able to sleep. Maybe Sirius would stay up wiht me... but I wouldn't want him to feel obligated. "Let's get back to the dorm... I really, really would like to -- er -- get clothes on," I finished slightly awkwardly because it was James.

I smiled, " Yeah, it is pretty cold out here.." I scooped her up again wrapping her up. " Sounds like a plan." I nodded my head.

I smiled a thnks a best I could. "Thankss, Sirius," I said quietly. It seemed like everyone had an understanding. I was kind of worried aobut Remus and Chloe... would he be able tos tay with her? And if not, would Sirius and James be able to stay wiht Lily and myself?

As much as I don't want to do this...." We should go to the hospital wing. As much as I don't want to....we may have injuries that Madam Pomfrey can take care of." I said quietly. Although I knew James might not be able to stay with me because Remus needs him. Which I'd understand. I still wouldn't want him to go. But I'd understand.

I gave Ember a nod. she was never leaving my sights. I was going to make those Slytherin assholes pay. I didn't know what to do now. I mean night was almost over. Would Moony be alright? I wondered. He looked like he was okay. Stress might have somehow ignored his lycanthropy somehow.

I nodded. "I agree with Lily," I said. "So let's go there first and then we can go to the dorms and try to get some rest." I adjusted Chloe in my arms slightly. She looked so exhausted and I didn't want to distrub her at all.

"Then that way, if we have to leave you'll have someone other than yourselves with you," I added. I wasn't sure how Remus would be... and I knew he wouldn't want to risk anything.

I didn't want to go to the hospital wing, but LIly did have a point. I just wanted to be in Sirius's arms and... well, I doubt I'd be able to sleep, but at least I'd have his comforting arms that might make it possible. "Yeah, I guess we should go," I said quietly. I just didn't want to relive this... it was hard enough going through it. But Pomfrey would want to know what happened and then Dumbledore adn then probably McGonagall and Snape, too... I was only going to go through it once. So they'd all better be there.

Feeling Ember tense up, " You'll be fine.." I whispered to her, "Remember you're not going to be by yourself." Little did she know I was going to watch where she was going like a hawk. I'll walk her to her classes and those Slytherin fucks better not start anything. " I'll be with you as long as I can." I told her hoping she figured out I might have to go back out with Moony to help him.
