Curiosity Killed the Cat -- March 1977

I rubbed her arm and pulled her tighter. "Okay, then... where did she go?" I asked, wondering why Pomfrey left them alone.

" To see about a muggle remedy." I smiled as he hugged me. Not sure how he was going to take this. " The morning after pill..." I explained, hoping he wasn't mad. I mean the last thing I wanted was to make him upset.

"I have bruises and cuts and stuff, but no concussion and nothing worse as of right now," I said, leaning into him. I really didn't want to say anything about the morning after pill, but I didnt' want it to be a surprise, either, if I had to take it and stuff.

I smiled holding her tight. " That's good...isn't it?" I asked her noticing she looked more then just distracted.

"Well, I'm sure that you'll be better in less time than she thinks," I said. "And she doesn't think....? Does seh?" I questionsed, after heraing Lily tell James about the pill.

I nodded. "Yeah, but if she doesn't have this Muggle remedy, then there will be worry that we were a little too late..."

I avoided his gaze. " She wants to make sure...to make sure of no risk....to make sure nothing happened. We don't think anything happened..so she thinks that nothing happened either. Just to be safe." I said still hoping that he wasn't to mad. I was worried he'd be to upset.

"That's a good idea," I said. "And if you don't think anything happened, then I agree with you."

I nodded. " Yeah...I'm glad.." I smiled to him. Not wanting to leave his arms ever. I hated having this happen to us. Why did it have to happen again? I wasn't risking loosing my friends. " Can I sleep with you?" I asked him. I didn't want to be left alone.

" Late...." I nodded slowly. We were the ones who were too late. This killed me. I couldn't .....I was to late. I felt so much angrier. I couldn't take it. I'm glad Remus was taking this a lot more calmly then I gave him credit for.

"Of course," I said, taking her question in stride. "But I think I snore... if that doesn't bother you, then you're more than welcome to sleep in my arms."

Madame Pomfrey returned. "Ladies, I do not have them, but I do kno whow to get them. I just dont' know if I'll be able to retrieve them in time for them to work. I told the Headmaster that you will all talk to him tomorrow because you need rest tonight. You are all free to leave. I will be back in the morning hopefully with everything needed. Try to rest, ladies."

I squeezed Sirius's hand. "It'll be okay, SIrius," I said, sensing his anger. "Let's go back and get some rest... everything will turn out alright."

I didn't even want to think about my sister needing the morning after plil or even Lily needing it. "Thanks," I told Pomfrey as seh left. "Let's get you guys back to the dorm to rest and stuff."

I smiled. " That really doesn't bother me." I was ecstatic I was safe again in his arms. I took a deep breath after Madam Pomfrey came back to share that bit of information. Nodding slowly, " Okay makes sense...and we'll see you tomorrow." I tried to give a smile, as I stood up slowly. " That sounds like a plan." I took Remus hand as I wanted to be beside him. " I hope you don't mind my slow walking.."

Smiling to James, " That will be wonderful." I knew once I was sleeping next to my fiance I would feel better.
