Curiosity Killed the Cat -- March 1977

I held Chloe close and rubbed her arms, hoping my warmth would spread to her quickly. "C'mere," I said, holding her. "You're going to be alright."

"Shh," I said, kissing the top of her head. "I love you, Lily. Just save your energy..." She was shaking and I was tyring my best not to. This had scared me. I thought I was going to loose her.

I moved to where I could more easily hold on to him. I was crying into his shoulder... sobs racking my body. "Don't... apologize... you... saved... me," I said, sobs breaking my words apart.

I smiled as I nuzzled myself into him. He was so warm. I felt better, knowing he was here. I was so much better. I was so tired, I felt like I couldn't walk. " Remus." Just saying his name. I knew nothing was going to happen to me.

" I love you." I told him again. Holding onto him with what strength I could I nuzzled into him more. Knowing I was in his arms I was able to relax a little more. I was still shaking, not as uncontrollably. I still couldn't help it though. I felt extremely tired, and yet full of adrenaline. I was stuck and worried. But it was better because my fiance saved my life. " You saved my life." I said as I held onto him. I was not letting go. I hoped he knew that.

" Shh...I'm here now..nothing is going to happen to you." I told her. I was really scared..I did not like the feeling. She was broken, but I was going to help her all I could. I scooped her up as I went to find the guys as I made sure Ember was covered. I knew she was, then continued to find the others. " Guys?" I asked quietly, as I adjusted Ember in my arms. I went down the hallway.

I settled down a bit after Sirius had me in his arms. I knew that everything would be okay. I held on to him as he looked for the others. i needed to know that Lily and Chloe were okay... if I hadn't gotten this idea to figure out what the guys were doing... none of this would've happened. It was all my fault.

"C'mere, babe," I said, scooping her up because I heard SIrius calling for us. "It's time to get you cleaned up adn stuff."

Adjusting her a little better I wrapped her up in my robe a little more she was covered fully now. Waiting a moment then walking in to them, " You guys alright?" I asked them. I knew Ember wanted to know how they were. So, I figured I'd ask.

I nodded as James scooped me up. Then seeing Ember I was a little more relieved knowing she was alright. I gave what I could of a smile to Sirius. I was really happy to see them. I just wasn't planning on leaving James' arms. I'm pretty sure he didn't want me to leave either. I looked to Ember and gave her a small smile and a bit of a nod. Feeling a little better I relaxed and I could easily drift off to sleep in his arms. I needed to know Chloe was alright though. " You guys seen Remus and Chloe?" I asked quietly.

I gave Lily the best smile I could give her. Then I said, "No.... you two are the first. I'm sure Remus found her...."

I nodded to Lily. " I'm sure Remus has her right now." I assured them both. They were even more scared when separated. I think that's what the hoped for.

I nodded. "yes... let's go find them," I said, getting a little worried. I made sure that Lily was covered and whatnot and walked over to SIrius. "you suppose he's alright? I mean... it sounds like its still raining."

"I'm here," I whispered, the strain of the night wearing on me. "Let's go find th eothers to make sure they're alright." I stood up and made sure she was covered so she coul have some dignity.

I nodded. " Sounds like a plan." I gave a small smile. " Remus...are you alright?" I asked him quietly. I was still shivering, and covered by his robe. I was still more worried about him then me. " You think the others are alright?" I asked him.
