Curiosity Killed the Cat -- March 1977

I smiled, " Yeah....It'll be fine. " I nodded trying to convince myself. I squeezed her hand back.

I stood up and helped Lily up. "No strenous-ness for a little while... I don't care what Pomfrey said. You're somewhat injured and I don't want you straining yourself," I said as we headed to the dorm.

"We'll go only as fast as you can go," I told her with a reassuring smile.

I stood up and kept hold of SIrius's hand. "It's not your fault," I said quietly. I didnt' like seeing him like this.

I grinned. " That sounds like a plan." Holding onto his hand. " I'm sure We'll be fine." Taking his hand. " I won't do anything to stressful either." I nodded to him with a smile.

I gave a grin. " It's not yours either.... I'll be alright..." I squeezed her hand. " I'll be alright ...the big question is you okay?" I didn't feel like we got there in time. Or we didn't do our job right.

I grinned. " Thanks." I said as I tried to go a little faster. I looked to him, " I didn't think broken ribs would hurt so much." Biting my lip. " How can you handle all that pain?" I asked him. Tearing up, " I promise I'm going to make you tea every full moon. Okay?" I told him. " I mean I know it won't help....but it would be a nice thing before would it?"

"I will be," I said. "Right now it's hard to tell because Pomfrey's tonic is definitely kicking in... so I don't know what she gave us... but I'm feeling pretty good right now. Just really tired, too."

"Good," I said, smiling a little. "Now... if you need me to carry you or anything, just ask me to and I will. But Lily, if you could walk, I'd really appreciate it. I'm a little sore... someone go ta little ryled up as a wolf and my shoulder feels funky. But if you need me to carry you, I easily can."

I gave a bark of a laugh. " Would you like me to carry you?" I asked her. As we walked. I scooped her up before she gave me a response.

"Tea would help my human part," I said with a smile. "But I am accustomed to the pain... I'm used to it. But I don't expect you to be all macho about you rribs. You're allowed to hurt a little bit."

" I'll walk..." I nodded to him. " Thank you for the offer though." smiling. " Would you like me to rub it for you?" I asked him.

That made me slightly dizzy for a moment. "Thanks... it'll probably illiminate a lot of stubbed toes and me stepping on you and such," I said.

I chuckled. "Babe, you just relax... my shoulder will be fine without you rubbing it for the time being," I said.

" Tea would be good." I nodded. " I'm hardly ever macho....but yes they do hurt..." I told him honestly.
