Curiosity Killed the Cat -- March 1977

I hung onto Remus as he adjusted to make himself comfortable. I was so tired, I leaned my head against his chest as I could feel myself drifting. I didn't know if that's a good sign or not. But I was sleepy this stuff wore me out. My chest hurt. So I hoped something wasn't broken or something. But I was so tired I hardly cared. Leaning on him and hearing his heartbeat. It was putting me to sleep.

I nodded understanding, " Yeah, we'd have all of us there....we'll just wait til you guys get to the hospital wing too before we go." I told James as I smiled. I leaned my head on his shoulder.

I nodded. "Yeah, you're not going anywhere without me knowing about it," I said quietly. I knew that may sound overly protective, but they needed that protection for the time being. It would wear off eventually.

"And I should be fine," I told everyone. I didn't feel like it was a full moon at all. "We'll be with you the whole time." Now, I may get in trouble for this, but I'm sure Dumbledore would understand why I had to be there.

I gave Sirius a slight smile. "Thank you," I said. "And I know... but Remus, don't put yourself in harms way.... if you need to go, we'll understand fine."

Still smiling I looked up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. " Sounds like a plan to me." Nuzzling my face into him. I felt really safe, although I felt bad because they were carrying us. But, in our defence we were all almost naked. I looked over to Remus, smiling as I saw him adjust Chloe in his arms. She looked really hurt. I think that's why Remus said he was fine. I don't really know. I just felt so grateful we had them there to help.

Nodding, " Your welcome..." I picked her up a little, she seemed to be dropping a little. I hoisted her up. There was no way I was going to leave her. I knew Remus wouldn't leave Chloe unless he absolutely had to. Which in that case they would be left in the hospital wing.

I almost fell asleep in his arms. I knew he may have to leave I was fine with that. I would just prefer if he wouldn't but I know he'd be back as soon as he could. I smiled feeling myself drifting. I didn't want to sleep in his arms though. I liked knowing I'm awake and safe in his arms.

We walked to the doors. Got them open and walked up to the hospital wing surprisingly no one saw us at all. " Weird..." I said looking around. Then we got to the hospital wing, " Oh poppy?" I asked somewhat loudly.

I looked around. "Madam Pomfrey?" I called out. I didn'twant Sirius's lack of respect to be teh reason she wouldn't come out to help us.

Knowing that Madam Pomfrey would come, if Remus would ask. Figuring she would come to his voice in a heart beat. I felt so weak and helpless. " Remus I can't feel my feet...." I told him as I felt so helpless. I did not like this at all. I really did not want Remus to leave but I still understood if he needed too. I just wanted to be in his arms.

I was dreading this. I was freezing... I just wanted to get back to the dorm and be with Sirius and be snuggled up and just relax and try to forget.

"I'm sure your feet will be fine," I whispered to her, keeping my smile contained. I moved to one of the beds and sat down, still holding Chloe.

"Remus! What are you doing here?" Madam Pomfrey asked, appalled by the fact that the boy was in the castle on a full moon.

"There was an incident, they needed my -- our -- help," I explained simply.

I nodded, " Okay..." Looking to Madam Pomfrey as she bustled about Remus being in the castle. " Thanks Madam Pomfrey."

Nodding, " Very sorry Madam Pomfrey....We needed their help badly....That's why we're here... We just couldn't get here ourselves. " I explained. I didn't want the guys to get in trouble. Especially Remus with his condition. Nothing he could do about it. " We thought this is the best place to come." I told her from still sitting in James' arms.
