I can normally push you right out of my heart, but I'm too tired to fight -- February 2017 (DONE)

Sadly, the idea of exacting revenge and joining forces was appealing.  But we could not do that, could we?  "Hypothetically... what were you thinking?" I inquired, taking a small drink.  I looked at him, feeling my darker side become more attentive was a little odd.  I normally was not like this.

I was rather surprised to hear him say that -- even if it was hypothetically.  "We hunt him down and kill him," I said simply.  "Clearly, it'd be more difficult than just saying it... but he has done so much against either one of us.  Never thought I'd say this, but perhaps start the revolution against him and create a new Order."  I would never have thought that I would end up where I was.

Joining forces with Malfoy... this could be interesting.  "If it's based off of revenge, it'd be best if no one else was involved," I pointed out.

Ah, he had a point.  I finished my cup and ordered another one.  I was still thawing it seemed.  After the waitress left, I continued with our conversation.  "Yes, that is true.  Is this still hypothetical or not in your mind anymore?" I asked him.

I did not answer him right away.  When I finally did, I replied, "I am not entirely sure if I want to admit the answer to that."  I mean, this was Malfoy.  And it was a stupid idea.  Tremendously stupid.  What was I thinking?  I could not go on a man hunt... but then again, it sounded so good.

A smile started to play at my lips.  But then I started thinking.  I shook my head at him.  "We cannot do this," I said.  I had worked so hard to stop having the nightmares about taking Dumbledore's life and even Carrow's.  Carrow was as evil as Riddle, so I knew that if I regretted killing him, I would regret killing Riddle -- at least when it was merely out of revenge.  "Dean, I know a thing or two about murder and death... there is no coming back.  It's a constant struggle to not let yourself succumb to the instinct of causing pain after you take someone's life.  It would nto be wise to go into this the way we are."

I was so surprised to hear Malfoy change his mind so quickly, but I kenw there was much that was buried beneath the surface with him.  Somethig I had been slow to realize.  "Then why don't we just take an offensive position on the matter?  Make an Order.  Make people see Riddle for what he is... and then that way, it's not like we're setting out for murder," I suggested quietly.  I did not want anyone to overhear us speaking about death and murder.  It would not go over well.

He was right.  We could do something good about all of this by doing it right.  I nodded at him.  "We have proof of what he is turning into... something could be done before he gets as powerful as the Dark Lord," I said.  it was hard for me not to call You-Know-Who that since I grew up with that being his name.

I nodded, Draco was onto something.  "That is very true.  Most people need proof before doing anythign about it," I agreed.  "I just hope people listen..."  There was no way that people would want to agree that there was someone out there to replace Voldemort.

I sighed, he was right.  "We'll have a rough road ahead of us if we want to say that there is a new dark wizard on he rise," I said, shaking my head.  Maybe it was not worth it.  Then I thought of all the thigns that the Dark Lord did to just my family and I knew that there was no way I wanted to let them go through what we did.

I nodded, leaning back in my seat a little bit.  "That we do.  But it will be worth it in the end.  Perhaps we would get it finished before it all even starts," I said, though I knew that was wishful thinking.

Closing my eyes, I pinched the bridge of my nose.  Upon opening them again, i said, "So how are we even going to begin this?  I'm not used to be on the good side."  It was a sad reality, but true.  I was always forced to go one way or anothe r-- and it was always towards the darker side.  Which had been fine for a little while.  But not when it turned into threatening or taking the lives of the people I cared about.

That was an excellent question.  I leaned back, tapping my fingers on the table for a moment.  "We get the word out to those who would want to make a stand.  I mean, we already know those that would -- they fought against Voldemort.  They may not believe us, but it's worth a shot."  It was the best I had.

That was true.  We did know people to start with at least.  "They might not believe us, but they will believe you," I pointed out.  I knew it would take a lot for anyone to believe what I had to say when it came to people on that side.

I looked at him.  "The hell if I'm doing this on my own, though," I pointed out.  "It's going to put a target on my back the second I start opening my mouth.  If I'm going down, I'm taking someone else with me -- preferrably Riddle, but that may not happen."
