Best memories come from bad ideas -- Summer

"Alright," I said, looking at Constantine and Daphne.  "You two should probably be the ones to send out the word... they wouldn't like it if me or Ian sent word to them."  Then I looked over at my little sister.  "Oh, I guess you could, too, huh?"

I rolled my eyes at Vinny at the fact that I was a side note. I looked at Stan and Daphne.  "I'll get all the Hufflepuffs and then you cover the rest?" I suggested, wondering how many people they were going to end up inviting.  When they nodded, I walked over to the desk Ian pointed us to and wrote out quick notes to Alexa, Davy, Thad, and Maggie -- since they were all mostly in my year, except Maggie was a year older.  We would send it with the one owl and so I waited for Daphne to complete the notes to the people Stan was to invite.

I heard tapping on my window and saw an owl that I did not recognize.  Curious, I went and let it in.  I saw that there were quite a few notes attached to it's leg and it flew off immediately after I took my letter.  I opened it and saw that Stan was inviting me to come to a party -- right now, I might add -- and to bring cousins if I wanted to.  It was at teh Malfoy Manor... was that really wise to have the Weasleys and whoever else they invited to go?  I sighed.  I figured that I would ask my parents and then go.  May as well see what it was all about.  "Mum, Dad... can I go to a party tonight?  Well, right now.  Stan invited me and the cousins" I said, not really wanting to tell them more details.  That seemed to suffice and I grinned, going to the fireplace and Flooing to Malfoy Manor.

I realized that she thought it was endearing if I was jealous or something of the fact that I wanted her long before now, she had just been with the older guys.  I smiled at her.  "Of course I was.  They were older... never thought you would want someone like me," I said to her, holding her close to me.

I stopped moving my hand an looked at him. " Rory... why do you say it like that?  You're so hot... why wouldn' tI want you?" I asked, smirking at him still.

I wrote hte note the way Stan wanted it written and to whom he wanted it written.  We sent all the notices out and I looked at them.  "WAs thi sa mistake?" I asked quietly.

"We already pormised to behave ourselves," I poitned out to Daphne, who sometimes worried too much.  "Besides, i can kick them all out since thsi is my father's house."

I knew that Stan had gone over to the Malfoy Manor to have a party with Malfoy, Crabbe, and the rest of the lot.  I was kind of surprised to get an owl, though, to join.  Naturally, the curiosity got the best of me.  I got Dad's permission and I got there, seeing Lauryn looking out of place.  I walked up behind her. " Hey," I said.  "Let's go find everyone... I'm assumign follow the music..." We walked into the room in which the party seemed to be.  I could not help but be impressed by the mere size of everything at this place.  No wonder Stan liked coming there so much.  There were so many Slytherins there, but I found the one I was looking for quickly. I went up to my brother.  "Stan... where are Rory and Killian?" I asked, not caring about anyone else really.  They were the only ones that Stan ever really had over at our house.

I was not entirely sure if this would be the wisest ideas of me going to the Malfoy party... but then again, I could handle Ian, right?  I was not sure about that.  But since the invite was extended, I had to go.  He was clearly going to be alright with everything.  I ended up going over to my brother's house to see if Lex or Killian were going.  I was kind of surprised that Killian was not already there.  "Are you guys going to go?  I got invited, too, but I'm not sure..." I said to them.

I did not understand why Ryan did not wait for me to go, but whatever.  I figured he had his reasons.  Probably going to bring Kat or Lauryn or someone.  I went without anyone myself, figuring that I would meet up with everyone there.  Assuming they had been invited, too.  I saw that there was quite a crowd.  I ended up finding my brothers talking and avoided them, going to Marie.  "Needed some reinforcements?" I asked her, smiling.  I knew she got along with all the Slytherins much better than most because of her cute brother.  Wait... did I Just say that?

I jumped slightly when Ryan spoke. I had not realized that he was right beside me.  "Rory is preoccupied," I said, hoping that Ryan would sense the tone.  "And Killian might be on his way.  Who all is showing up?" I could hear commotion meaning that others we invited were coming in, I just was not sure who would actually come to a Slytherin party at Malfoy Manor.

I was startled when I got a note to go to a Slytherin party ... but I figured that Killian may have wanted me there.  Or perhaps someone else did.  I sighed.  Did I want to go?

I found my sister and looked at her.  "You got an invite, too?" I asked, looking at her own ltitle note that was the most informal invitation ever.  "You wanna go?  I was going to head over to see what it's all about."

I walked up to Stan and Ryan when they started talking about me.  "Killian's already here," I informed them, smirking slightly at the fat that Constantine did not jump.  I knew he could hear me walk up behind him even in this loud place.  "What I'm wondering, though, is why on earth was I not invited in the first place?"  I looked toward Ian for that answer.  Our eyes met and I knew why; we always had our differences and our issues.  Just because I was in Slytherin did nto make me less of a Potter in his eyes...

My curiosity had gotten the best of me... I had to show up to the Slytherin fest.  I saw that I was not the only one who did not seemingly belong.  At least I would not be alone.
