I stood up and went over to him. "Are you hungry, Dean?" I asked him, pulling him into the room. "We've got plenty of food." I hoped that Dean would behave, but his first few words were not promising. "You remember meeting Jeremy, don't you?" I knew they had met before.

I looked from Mum to Jeremy. "Yeah... Max taylor's dad," I said. My gaze ran over him. "Why are you here?" I crossed my arms in front of my chest, waiting for him to answer.

I stood up and offered my hand, however I droped it when it was clear he would not shake it. "We're having a spot of breakfast," I explained. "You can join us if you'd like..." I trailed off when I saw his glare -- he reminded me so much of Sirius it was uncanny.

I did not really want to shake his hand. I scoffed. "Breakfast? You're here this early? Think you shacked up here last night?" I questioned angrily.

I gasped in shock. "Dean Alexander!" I said, trying to fix the situation. This was quickly escalatng and turning into a disaster.

I shoul dhave expected that. I sighed and shook my head. It's quite alright, Em," I said, shrugging it off. "I'm sure Max would think the same if things were reversed." Breakfast may not have been a wise idea in hindsight.

I shook my head. "No, i'ts not. Apologize Dean, and then head to your room," I said, rather upset at my son. How dare he say something like that! I had raised him better than taht!

I rolled my eyes. Still glaring, I muttered, "I'm sorry." That was all they were getting. I looked at my dear mother. "Am I free to go?"

I was going to say more, but I knew it was pointless. "Go. And stay there until I come talk to you," I added. I watched him leave and sighed. I turned to Jeremy. "I am so sorry," I said to him. I knew Dean's apology was less than sincere.

I shook my head at Ember, putting my hands on her shoulders. "Really, don't worry about it. I do, however, think I overstayed my welcome this morning," I said to her sadly.

He was right. "Alright," I agreed. "I'll talk to you later, okay?" I wanted him to know none of this would affect our friendship.

I nodded. "Don't be too hard on him," I said as I hugged her goodbye. I left, hoping things would be alright for hte Blacks.

I walked up to my son's room. "Dean, your attitude was uncalled for," I said, looking at him sternly. I was quite angry with him than I had ever been before, I think.

I stopped pacing and looked at her. "I don't care. If you want to be with someone other than Dad, then divorce him. You know I don't care about DAd, either," I added. "I just thought you had more class."

I sighed. "Dean," I said quietly, "I'm just friends with Jeremy. I'd never do anything like what you're accusing. I thought you kenw me better than that." I was rather hurt by what my son thought of me.
