I smiled sadly at my son and gave him a kiss on his forehead. "Agreed," I said to him gently. I looked at Draco, but he had gotten up and walked out of the kitchen. Well, at least that was one way to keep the fighting down.

I had gotten up and left the kitchen when Dorian spoke. The best way not to fight with my wife right now was to not even be near her. Father twisted words, I knew that. Of course I did. I just could not deal with it right now. I was so full of grief and anger; Pansy just seemed like a suitable scapegoat.

I sighed and looked at Ian. "Honey, he just misses your sister," I said to him quietly, shaking my head. "Just like we all do; he just has a hard time handling it." At least that was the story I would tell our son.

I nodded at my mummy. "Yea," I said to her quietly. "We all miss Keegan a lot." It was odd not having my sister around.

I pursed my lips trying not to speak ill of Lucius Malfoy. Ian loved his grandfather. "Honey, it's okay to be sad and to say things like that," I said to him. "You are merely a boy, you don't have to act all grown up quite yet."

I smiled at my son. "Well, then, that's totally up to you," I said to Dorian. Draco would not like to hear any of this, but I wanted to try to mak esure that my son was going to be okay. There was no point in trying to force him to be something different at hte moment... or ever.
