I took a deep breath I was going to ask for her hand in Marriage. I had never been more nervous in my life walking to the Potter's I knocked and peeked in slowly as I said loudly. " Hello?" I walked in and took my coat off and waited near the entrance of the door to find out where the Potter's were. I was here to ask them for their daughter's hand in Marriage. I rubbed my hands on my pants. They were sweaty and felt all clammy. I was going here then I was going to see Lily and James. To ask James for his sister's hand in Marriage.

Ryan Potter went about his daily business -- he had just gotten home from the grocery store and was putting food away when he heard Sirius's voice. "I'm in the kitchen," he yelled, trustin gthe boy knew where that was as that was the place he and James always stayed when Sirius was here waiting for Tabatha to make them a meal or two.

Oh good...kitchen. Where the most weapons are. I walked to the kitchen. " Hi, would you like some help?" I offered. " Of course he would know something was up and end up just getting me to get to the point of why I looked so nervous and frazzled.

"Sirius, I have put groceries away my entire life wihtout anyone offering to help, but thank you. I can handle it though," I said with a smile. I looked at him adn saw how he looked. "Ember isn't here, though, if you're looking for her. She will be back in time for dinner though, if you'd like to stay. Do you need some water or something? You look kind of terrible," I added with concern.

"Uh... no no...I'm fine.." I tried to assure him...along with myself. I hadn't known why I was so nervous. " I mean, Ryan...Mr. P. I have to ask you something. It's really important to me. " I walked over to him. So I was in arms reach which scared me kind of. Not like asking a father if it's alright to marry their daughter. " It's about Ember."

"Is everything alright? she's not being too bossy is she?" I joked. I could tell that Sirius wanted to be... erm, serious, so I tried to remove the humor from everything. Though I thought he did need to lighten up a little bit; it may make him feel better. "You know you can talk to me about anything, though, Sirius. What is it?"

Oh this is difficult. I would've laughed with him. But I was more nervous then anything. " I wanted to...." I took a deep breath. " I want to ask you.....For you Daughter's hand in Marriage." I finished. Feeling happy that I sputtered it out. Now just nervous about my answer. I had bought the ring and had it on me right now. Depending on his answer I would show him it. I mean, I'm not going to be demanding or anyhitng and make her rush into planning the wedding and whatnot.

I leaned against the counter. Definitely not what I expected, especially from Sirius. Ember was kind of young, still. Barely of age, as a matter of fact. But how could I deny Sirius something like this? He was basically my son... he lived here since he was sixteen at least. And basically lived here before that,e ven. "Are you sure you can handle this type of commitment?" I questioned.

I nodded. " Yes sir. I do." I told him with a nod of my head. " I wouldn't be pressuring her to actually have the Wedding until she was of age. I love her and I care for her deeply. I have never met someone like her before. She makes me feel at ease and just easy to talk to about my troubles like with my family. " I explained. " I am going to wait for her....to be ready for a wedding. I just love her and don't want, nor Do I see myself with anyone else." I said leaning against the wall.

I smiled at him. "Well said," I told him. "You have my permission to marry my daughter. And yes, even though her birthday was last month... where I'm pretty sure she turned 17 - even if she's still 6 years old in my book -- she's still very young. I'm glad you take that seriously," I added. "Any ideas on when you'll ask her?"

Smiling I jumped and gave him a hug, manly hug. " Thank you....I have to go ask James as well....but I was going to surprise her and take her out for Dinner tonight." I said with a grin. " I even have the ring on me...." I said pulling it out of my pocket. To show him.

I almost laughed out loud when he said he had to ask James, too. That figures... with the way James was with Ember (whether he'd admit it or not). I looked at the ring. Well, my little girl was going to be all grown up. "That is beautiful... it fits her well," I told him wiht a smile. "I will keep my mouth shut, then... even to Tabby. Ember can tell her."

" Thanks...I thought that too... I hope she likes it.." I grinned. " Thanks for keeping this secret." I grinned. He was the most father like figure I've had. It meant a lot to know he approves. " Yeah, I have to see what Prongs says......But it shouldn't be a problem. Thank you again. It means a lot to know I have your permission. " I smiled as I looked at my watch. " Uh... I have to James and Lily's. " I grinned again. " Thank again...I'll be back later." As I set off to James' and Lily's place.

I chuckled. "I know you will be. Good luck with James, he's not as easy as I am," I joked as Sirius left. I sat down. My little girl wasn't a little girl anymore... how would I be able to hide this from Tabby? Well, it was a good thing he was doing it tonight then.

So I was off to James and Lily's place. I didn't even know where to start with him. Without realizing I had apparated to Godric's Hollow and was now in front of their house. " Nodding my head slowly, I walked to the front door and knocked.
