Just because we're crazy, doesn't mean we're not having fun -- February 1992

I was so glad that Desi was not judging me too badly.  "Yeah, his brothers are all very different from him," I said, remembering his older brothers plus knowing his younger ones.  "but Percy is really nice... and sweet.  He's genuine, you know?"

I grinned at Penny, seeing how excited she was about all of this.  "I understand," I assured her.  "So what are you going to do?  Take it cautiously?  That seems like omething you might need to do with someone like Percy Weasley."

I sighed and shrugged.  "I really don't know what I want to do," I said to my practical sister.   "I think it would be a good thing to go slow with him... he just seems kind of skitterish."  Percy did seem to scare easily.

I could not help but laugh.  "Yes, well, most nerdy guys are skitterish when it comes to women flirting with them," I added, having my fair share of experience on that front.  "Perhaps just go slow... but not too slow where he wouldn't realize what you're doing."  That seemed like a fair plan, right?

I nodded as she spoke.  "Yeah," I responded slowly.  "Make it obvious what my intentions are... I would hate to have him be scared off if it suddenly became obvious after awhile of subtly."

I was glad that I could give her some advice.  I laughed adn nodded.  "Yeah, most men don't understand any subtle hints anyways," I added.

I ate some of our sweets.  "You're definitely right about that,Des," I assured her.  Men were not good with subtle anything.

"Of course I am... says the one of us who is nowhere near getting a boyfriend," I teased, giggling.

I looked at Desdemona and smiled.  "I think I can find a way to change that," I said to her playfuly.

I stared at Penny and shook my head.  "Oh no, that is definitely not a good idea," I assured her.  "I'm only going to be here a year... that's however long I ever stay in one place."

I smirked at Desdemona.  "And like that matters?  It's not like you're going to find your soulmate right away or anything," I said to him.  "You can have a little fling.  A girl is allowed to have fun."

I could not believe that Penelope was saying this.  I sighed.  "Maybe a little fun wouldn't hurt," I admitted.  "But... I don't know that many good guys here, yet, though.  Who would you suggest?"

That made me pause.  "Well, there's Oliver Wood," I said, winking at her.  "He's a looker... but he's really into Quidditch.  Like - waay into it."  I hoped that would not be a big deal.  he was rather cute.

I shrugged.  "I don't mind that.  You'll have to point him out to me," I said to her.  It never hurt to have a little fun, did it?

I smirked.  "Of course I'll point him out to you.  He has dark chocolate eyes and then he also has dark hair," I said to her, trying to give her a bit of a description.  "He's muscular, too, because of the Quidditch and whatnot."
