I took one step towards Severus, and slapped him hard across the face. " I never thought I would hear you utter that word." I said viciously as I felt tears in my eyes. " You ruined it for me... be happy." I said with a sarcastic smile as I went to walk away I gave Betta a nod. " Sorry." I mumbled to her. I couldnt believe he said that to me. I was beyond upset. I mean, I know they didn't get along but, hes changed and they were acting civil to each other now and everything. I mean I didn't expect bestfriends or anything. I sure as hell didn't expect him to say that word.

"Yeah, see you later, Mudblood." Severus called back, then turned his back on her and continued to throw rocks into the water. He jumped when he felt Betta tap him on the shoulder. "What now, Betta? Are you planning in cursing me for saying what I said? Something tells me that since you like me, you won't do it. Isn't that right? Well let me tell you something, Domenici. Don't think I didn't see you kissing Antonin a few minutes ago, because I did. I would rather not tread on his territory; sloppy seconds doesn't turn me on."

"You never had a chance with her to begin with, Severus." Betta snapped. "How you didn't see that before now is way beyond my understanding...you knew full well James has had his eyes on her since first year, and seeing as he actually made a move to change for the better while you didn't...whose fault is that, Snape?" she asked, seeing Severus' black eyes flash angrily. "Oh, you don't like the truth, do you? It hurts, doesn't it? Guess what? It should hurt!"

"You want to talk about hurt?" Severus growled, then grabbed Betta's upper arms and shoved her against a nearby tree. "You want to talk about hurt? How's this for hurt?" he demanded, slamming her against the bark. "Huh? Or better yet, how's this?" He pulled Betta away from the tree and threw her unceremoniously down onto the ground, getting on top of her a second later. "Come on, Betta! This is what you want, isn't it? This is what you're in love with!" He yanked her tie off, threw it on the ground, then yanked on her shirt so hard that the buttons popped off. "Come on, Bettta, let's hear a little bit of pleasure from you!" Saying this, he kissed her roughly, pulling away when he heard her begin to sob. He stood up a moment later, a sneer crossing his face. "You've gotten what you've wanted, Betta. I hope you're happy now." Saying this, he turned on his heel and stormed off.

As soon as Severus was gone, Betta's choked sobs turned into hysterical crying. She looked down at her shirt, which was completely ruined, the buttons strewn everywhere.She held her shirt together with her hands as she grabbed her tie and stood up slowly. Her head throbbed, the result of being thrown against the tree, and her stomach hurt from where he'd sat on her. Her mind moved slowly, the shock of what had just happened numbing all other thoughts.

What happened to you, Snape? she thought. This isn't you...

I stormed into the Great Hall, wanting to lose my mind. I can't belive he called me that word....UGH! I was supposed to be happy. What the hell Snape!?

Betta slowly made her way back up to the castle. Once inside, she looked inside the Great Hall and spotted Lily. Doing her best to keep her shirt together with her hands, she made her way over to Lily.

"If anyone asks...if any teacher asks...would you please tell them that I had to go to the hospital wing? Something happened just now...I don't want to get into it right now, but I'm sure you can guess who was involved...please...please tell them I'm in the hospital wing."

Severus, who was feeling no shame about what he'd done a few minutes earlier, whistled as he walked into the Great Hall and over to the Slytherin table. Out of the corner of his eye, he thought he saw Betta hunched over, walking out of the Hall, but he paid no attention to her, turning his mind instead to the Charms exam that he had at two o'clock.

I scowled as soon as I saw Severus, I do not know why he was handling this so bad. I saw Betta come over and she looked awful. I nodded as she told me, I sure was going to tell the teachers. I nodded for the classes I was in with her I could do that. It'll make rounds to her teachers, " Sure thing."

"Thanks." whispered Betta, then shuffled her way out of the Great Hall. Before she left, she stopped by Severus and pointed her finger at him. "You." she hissed, as he looked up at her. "You will pay for this, Snape. Rest assured you will." After saying this, she continued to shuffle her way out of the hall and up to the hospital wing.

I was looking to him, I sighed what the hell happened. I got up wanting to know. I was engaged and that made him go crazy? " Severus....can I talk to you?" I asked as I walked over to him.

Severus looked up at Lily and scowled heavily, but pointed to an empty spot on the bench. "Sure. Let's talk." he said flatly, folding his arms over his chest as he leaned back.

I scowled it needed to be done. He go around hurting Betta like that over defending people. " Why all of a sudden gone mad?" I asked him. Better to start right out.

"I would have thought that should be obvious." Severus replied coolly. "Lily, how am I supposed to get this through to you? After all we've gone through, you've engaged yourself to that moron? What is it about Potter, may I ask? Oh, right...Quidditch champion. I shouldn't forget that." He looked up at the ceiling before speaking next. "I don't regret what I did to Betta. As far as I'm concerned, she was asking for it." He looked at Lily again, a sneer forming. "Don't say I didn't warn you about Potter. He's no good."

" After all we've bee through...Severus we are friends...we used to talk all the time....We have not been through a lot of things...." I said getting angry. Telling me my choices are weird and wrong just doesn't seem right at all. " What is it about James.... he has changed for the better Severus...as to me explaining myself and reasoning to you seems right does it...no. I do not have to explain myself to you. If you were my friend like I thought you were you would be fine with this. IT's not anything you had any control over. Being in love with him is all you need to know as my reasons for saying yes to him. How dare you think I am that shallow to only love someone because he plays quidditch.... you don't know how we are as a couple so I ask you to back off in that sense as it is none of your business...... as to why you are treating people like a pile of dung."
