I thanked Jack for the dance, " Thanks..." I walked over to Sirius. " I already know my vote.." I grinned as I teased him. " Go Ember!" I shouted. As I looked around to see James with Remus i smiled. I watched as they took a swig, he'll be good soon...mind you so will James. I shook my head as I looked up to Ember.

I came back from the washroom and James was with Remus. " Hey guys." I smiled to them both. " They're competing aren't they?" I asked referring to Ember being on stage.

I raised my eyebrows to Lily. I smirked. " Well, thanks to you miss Lily." I shook my head, this would be one of the ONLY times I did not care about los---wait yes I did ... I will win. I included people...I always have fun. I should win. I felt my competitiveness coming out.

Well... just about everyone was lookign at me. Well, now was the time to prove to everyone that I was damn awesome while singing. I took a deep breath. "Alright," I whispered to myself. Then I held hte microphone to my mouth and sang:

I didn't throw myself into the crowd like Sirius did, but for it being a song no one knew since it was my own creation, they sure got into it. Hell yes. I was just a little nervous because of the way it was mine and it was so close to me and I was attatched to it. "Alright everyone! Who has the vote? Cheer for each side... that's way easier than hands or anythign else. Sirius?" I asked and held the mic out for everyone to cheer into.

"Yeah," I said before Ember started singing. Damn... she was good. But I had to vote for Sirius. Though she was my sister. I cheered loudly when Ember said Sirius's name. When she mentioned herself, I whistled for her because she was good. I couldn't even tell who won, thouhg.

I smiled at Chloe and let Ember sing, though I did sort of dance with Chloe a little bit to keep the mood going. When it was over I cheered for SIrius. I had to.

I smiled, and clapped wildly for myself. I am conceited....When she said her own name I clapped wildly for her as well...I was torn...I took her song to me...even though it probably wasn't to me directly. She was smiling, she just looked so different...oh god...

I grinned and bowed dramatically. I set the mic down and someone helped me down the stage so I wouldn't fall. "Thanks," I told them before I went off to find everyone. I couldn't tell which of us won... but I was definitely going to say it was me. I had to win against Sirius... I just had to. But where did he/they go?

I had to get out of there before anyone saw what look I gave. How on earth was I suppose to face my best friend and say oh hey prongs I think I have feelings for your sister. I waited for her so I didn't abruptly leave. " Ember!...Good job...I'll be back.." I told her as I gave her a nod then as I was leaving I gave the group a nod.

I found them and as soon as I did... Sirius basically just left. Yeah, he said good job and told me he'd be back... but he just left. "Okay," i said slowly, trying to keep my tone light and the smile on my face. I knew this was going to happen. I shouldnt' be surprised. I turned to Lily. "Who won?" I asked. "Did I? If so... that's probably why he left..." I was talking in a nervous manner... so much for it not showing. I shut up and just let the others chat adn carry on conversations so I could keep my head clear.

"Alright, see ya Padfoot," I said, thinking nothing of him leaving. He probably wanted more firewhiskey or something. As long as he didn't make any moves on my sister, I didn't care how much he drank. I saw Ember's look, but only for a moment because she did a damn good job hiding it, and sighed. This had to end. I knew this was going to be a bad idea... It was stupid. It was going to hurt her more than help her. I think I would've preferred other guys hitting on her than this... I didn't think it'd hurt her this much, but I was wrong. I should really go find SIrius...

This is ridiculous, I thought leaving would help me. It was just making things worse. I could hear my thoughts and that was not the thing I wanted to hear. " Fuck.......why....why did it have to happen and now it can't happen because he's like my brother and I may have started to get feelings for her....which is 100 times worse then what could have actually happened. " I started pacing then took off walking towards the Whomping Willow. " This is probably the worst thing that could've happen....I don't want to jeopardize my friendship." I shook my head. loosening my tie. I can't take this. Sitting down, then laying down. " I wish I didn't think this was a good idea. " I said loudly frustrated. I couldn't sit in just one spot this was ridiculous. What am i Supposed to do. I can't just leave Ember there. James would hate me forever if I ended up telling him he was right and I have now feelings for his little sister. " Ugh!" I yelled in frustration as I found myself beside the school wall and I ended up punching it as I hard as I could.

I looked at Lily. "I'm going to go look for him," I whispered in her ear, oping that Ember didn't hear what i said. i didn't want her to think I was ending something, which is what I was doing, but she didnt' need to know that. I left the dance for the second time and went out onto the grounds. I heard a yell and figured it was Sirius. "Sirius?" I called out, walking in the direction of the voice. "I hink we need to talk..."

I looked at my hand as it started bleeding. " Over here.." I said loudly. " Great...." I muttered. This is something I was trying to avoid altogether. I shook my head and readied myself. " Yeah?"

"Hey... I think it'd be a good idea if, you know, this all ended," I said quietly. I didn't want to sound harsh... but it was getting carried away. "But... I think it'd be best forher, you know? I dont' know if I necessarily like this anymore... It's gone far enough. This way, she'll be somewhat expecting it and it's not like you were really leading her on that much."
