Hands up, when the music drops we both put our hands up put your hands on my body. ---February 14th 1977

Well, Ember and Lily were already with their dates. I was walking down the stairs making sure I looked at all of them I looked up as I turned the corner to see Remus standing their and the others as well. My eyes just focused on Remus waiting for me. I smiled as I no longer was looking at the stairs I felt myself stumble. Oh no.

I took Sirius's word of advice adn took a deep breath before Chloe made her appearance. Our eyes met and then hers started to disappear. I was right; heels and Chloe didn't mix well. Glad that I had already been near teh stairs, I was able to catch her before she hurt herself. "I knew you had to put your own flare on the grand entrance," I said, helping her to get stable again, smiling at her the whole time. She looked truly lovely.

I grinned at him. "You don't look too bad yourself," I told him. Then I heard a clunk and knew what that was. I turned around just in time to see Remus keep her from falling on her face. Hallelujah. That would've been awful!

I fought so hard to keep a straight face. I knew if I snickered, Lily would hurt me. "oh dear," I said in a monotone to keep my voice from cracking from laughter.

I felt myself go red. " Thanks." I smiled, taking his hand. " Well, now that everyone has seen me almost fall over on my face. Let's go" I smiled to the group. " You look very dashing." I told Remus.

I squeezed James' hand " Be nice..."

"As do you," i said, smiling at her. I gave her my arm and we started to head towards the Great Hall where teh dance was being held. "I have a feeling you'll be taking those off as soon as we get into the hall?" I asked her, indicating her shoes.

"I am, or else I would've laughed," I said quietly. I was glad to see Remus so happy. Again, I'm not mentioning Ember. "You really look beautiful, babe... The dress looks so better on you than off."

I couldn't believe that I was walking so normally with Sirius down to a dance... where we'll be dancing. But maybe it's because I felt so grown up at that moment. I wasn't just some girl with a crush anymore... No matter what happens tonight, it'll be for the best... whether it's a good thing or a bad thing.

Smiling, " Thank you... and maybe not right away....they will be coming off..." I grinned. " The Hall always looks amazing for Valentines." I said. As we got closer to the Hall I heard my favourite song. " I love this song...nickelback..never gonna be alone." I started to sing lightly. Looking to Remus, I smiled. " I like to wait until I can hear the song more...let's me sing a little louder."

I smirked, " They like each other ... a lot...they're cute together..." I said as I heard his compliment. I smiled. " Thank you... I'm sure you wouldn't mind it off later too right?" I smirked. I heard nickelback, " hey...I've got a little idea....Chloe sings amazingly....she thinks she sounds horrible...I've actually convinced her to get up and do karaoke thing that Professor Dumbledore set up....Think we could get Remus up their to do a duet with her?" I grinned looking up to James. " I think they would love it once they did it."

"After a few shots of firewhiskey Remus will do just about anything," I said, grinning evilly. "And your'e right... I'd be perfectly okay if it was off later." I pulled her into the Great Hall. "Meh, this has nothing on you." I was laying it on thick tonight in hopes of some extra lovin' later.

I rolled my eyes. "You can sing just as loudly here farther away than when you're close to the music... you don't have to be modest," I told her.

"I'm glad that they finally are going together -- Remus and Chloe," I said, trying to make conversation. It had never been this hard before... but that was before I thought I had a chance at somethin g-- anything -- wiht Sirius. But all I had to do was be me... I didn't need to change. If he doesn't like me for it, then clearly it wasn't meant to be.

Michael and I headed towards the Great Hall. I was hoping to see Ember... I had to see how happy she was going with SIrius. I hadn't told her about Michael adn I because it was a last minute thing... we were more going as friends than anything else. Just to say we had someone to go with. I looked at him and asked, "Have you seen her?"
