"I've noticed. I have to give James credit for that." Severus replied with a small smile. "Maybe we can at least be civil for once in our lives." He sighed, twirling his wand between his fingers. "Although I do hear Black mutter 'Greasy Snivellus' every now and again. Ah, well. Some habits die hard."

I laughed, " Civil would definitely help. " I pulled my hair into a ponytail, " It should work now and again and Sirius is sirius..... " I explained. " It'll just take him a little while." I said simply.

Severus nodded thoughtfully, wondering what James' response to his wanting help with the Betta situation would be. It would be awkward, to say the least.

"Oh, look...the squid!" he exclaimed, watching as the giant squid floated near the surface of the water, waving its tentacles in the air. "I've always wondered how big that thing got. Someone should go swimming and find out." A chuckle escaped his throat. "I'm kidding, of course."

I laughed, " Well if you want to volunteer....go ahead.." I nodded, " I figured you were joking." I said as I shook my head. " I would never want anyone to go swimming with it." It would be way to iffy on that whole situation.

"In any case, it's fun to watch." replied Severus. "How much homework do you have for tonight?"

" Not to much, just that transfiguration essay...that's it..no wait...I have also the Charms paper as well. " I said double checking thank goodness I check. Not knowing would have been horrible, It would have been awful.

"Fun times." Severus replied. "I have History of Magic and Ancient Runes, and I think...yeah, I have Potions as well. Slughorn seems to enjoy throwing homework out at us." he chuckled. "It could be worse, I suppose."

I laughed pulling my hair into a higher ponytail, " That's true Sev. Could be a lot worse. " I looked towards the water, " it makes work so much easier having some scenery...know what I mean?"

"Scenery is always a good thing." Severus replied, taking out a sugar quill and proceeding to suck on it for a moment before speaking again. "Have you tried these sugar quills? They're pretty good...they're a lot better than the blood-flavored lollipops that Jerith's been having to eat ever since his encounter in the forest--ohhhh..." he groaned, realizing that he'd said way too much. "Forget I said that, Lily. I never said that."
