It's been awhile -- Winter 2017

I had gotten a message from Dean to meet him at this little coffee shoppe.  What on earth would he want?  I sighed and sat there, waiting.  I hoped he did nto forget.  I knew that Tommy wanted to spend the holidays with Ryan, which was okay, but I wished he would want ot be home more.  Perhaps this was what Dean wanted to speak to me about... I was not entirely sure.

I walked into the shoppe and saw Morgan sitting there.  I smiled slightly at her and when she stood up, we did hug.  "I want to talk to you about my new resident," I said to her simply, cutting to the chase.

I sighed and nodded at him. "I'm sorry about him, Dean," I said, apologizing for my son.  "But I am glad that he's somewhere safe..." I just wished he would let me explain why I felt like I had to be with Sebastian -- it was for Tommy's protection, really, it was.

I nodded.  "He is safe," I assured her.  "And he can stay with us for however long... what worries me is why he has run away to live at The Haven."  I looked at her intently, only breaking my gaze when the waitress came to get my drink order.

I was not entirely sure what Dean was going to get at for this.  It was really none of his business.  "Thank you," I said to him for saying that Tommy could be with them for as lon gas he wanted to.  I sighed.  "What do you want to know?"

I sighed.  "Well, I would like ot know what made him run away from home," I said to her simply.  It was none of my business to get involved in her personal life, but as her son was now under my roof... it kind of was.

I looked away from Dean and then looked back into his blue eyes that I once loved so much... without getting any in return.  "Dean, it's complicated.  Tommy doesn't like his home life now," I said, choosing my words carefully.

I had waited for her to add more, but when she did not, I figured it was time for me to add something.  "Morgan, what is so bad at home that makes a kid want to run away?" I asked, needing to know more than the fact that it was complicated.

I sighed and shook my head.  "Dean, it's complicated," I repeated, wanting to figure out what story I could spin him.  I did not want to deal with his remarks.

I shook my head at Morgan.  "It's never that complicated.  Just tell me.  I need to know why I have an extra kid at my house now," I said to her.

"He doesn't like his father," I said to him simply.  That was going to be the most detail he was going to get.  It was none of his business... but I did want to make sure that Dean would make sure that Tommy would be okay.  I doubted he would want to be home anymore.

I raised an eyebrow.  "Oh?  You're back with his father?" I inquired.  Last I had understood, Tommy did not know who his father was... and I just naturally assumed that he wanted nothing to do with his son.  Apparently I was wrong.

I nodded at Dean.  "I am... but that's much more complicate than what it used to be," I said to him, though that was not necessarily true.  It had always been complicated with Sebastian.  At first, I thought that it was easy... until I found out who he truly was.  He was so smooth and silky... until I had given birth to Tommy.  And then things slowly started to change and I had to leave.  "Tommy is not pleased that the man who had abandoned us is now suddenly back into our lives."  I had to tweak the story slightly.

Well, I could understand that.  "Why are you lettng him back in your life, Morgan?" I asked, disbeleif in my voice.  "I know we've had our differences... but... you deserve someone better than a guy who is willing ot up and leave you."

Dean was never going to understad what this was about.  "Dean, don't get involved more than you already are," I said to him.  I knew that Bastian already hurt his family more than anything.  I felt so bad for him.
