I grinned at her then looked at Lily. "Well, since it was her grand idea, she should pick the song. Because I have no bloody clue," I said, chuckling. I was glad we could continue our good time while James and Sirius were being stupid.

" Prongs...I'm confused.... I'm not going to just randomly jump into it. It's the first time this has happened..." I shrugged. " I don't know what to do...I mean seeing that then just being confused. " I said running a hand through my hair.

I grinned, " Okay...." Lily had told us a song by Marianas Trench called " Good to you..." I rolled my eyes and grinned. I loved this song. " Okay..you alright with that Remus?" I asked.

"I've barely heard of it, but why not give it a go?" I said, offering my hand to Chloe. "We may as well go now... before someone chickens out." I wasn't talking about her of course.

I sighed. "I don't agree with it. You can think about it all you want, but when you come to a final decision about it, just remember that. I just can't see it ending well and I don't see it being anythign seriuos because it's you. And it'sn ot like Ember is ready for seriuos... especially not wiht you. You've been a crush to her... I don't think it'd last and I think that it'd hurt both of you more than help either of you -- especially now. Just remember that. I'm going back to try to ensure that Lily has a nice night. I don't think you should go back to see Ember; nto right now at least," I said. "I'm sorry I'm not more help... I just don't know what to say to help you rightnow." I turned away from Sirius and left him standing there. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. When would I ever leave my friends when they were having issues? Never. But this was the one exception. I knew I was being an ass. But I couldn't bring myself to be nice about this. I didn't agree.

I entered the castle and was outside the great hall, trying to get myself to be normal again when I heard the clicking of heels. I turned to see Ember. "Where are you coming from?" I asked. I felt really bad for her... but then I saw her face adn didn't feel quite so bad.

"James Ryan Potter, you asshole," I said, my voice shaking with emotion -- both anger and me being upset. "You ruin everything for me because you can't face the fact that I'm not eleven anymore." I was mere inches from his face. I didn't need to yell. I knew he got every bit of emotion from my words with me keeping my voice down to avoid a huge scene. "You can't just let me live my life? Of course not. Why can't you let me and Sirius decide if we want to be more than friends? It has ntohign to do with you!" I took a deep breath to refrain from yelling at him. I felt the tears running down my face. "I can't believe that you couldn't let me be happy for one night with SIrius -- with anyone. You never let that happen. You ruined tonight... you. Even if Sirius would've said we'd stay friends by the end of the night it wouldn't have made me feel like this. Don't say anything to me," I said, cutting him off. "Just go back and be in a relationship since you're the only one who can have one in this family. Go. Leave me alone." I waited for him to go back into the Great Hall before I let my eyes open up. The tears fell down my cheeks and I didn't bother wiping them away. I just turned and headed to the kitchens to get my favorite ice cream before I headed up to the dorm.

I watched as James left. " Well he's unhappy about it... " I shook my head as I saw Ember come out and talk to him. Then sighing I undid my collar. " Hey...can I sit here?" I asked her, but she just left, which I understood. So I sat down anyway.

I saw James come back into the Great Hall, looking depressed and angry. Sighing I got up and told Chloe and Remus to go. I knew Remus would give me a look. " Go." I urged on. The Fire Whiskey seems to be helping him. I smiled at them before they went up to claim a spot. Walking up to James. " So?"

I grinned, " Remus, and I would like Marianas Trench please...it's a song called good to you." I told Professor Dumbledore. I looked over to remus. " You'll do great. "

I couldn't believe that Lily wouldn't even listen to my dulcit tones after urging me to go. "Yeah... I doubt that... but oh well. I'm not too worried... I'm sure with you as my backup all will be well," I said, smiling at her. "Whenever your ready...."

Grinning I nodded to Professor Dumbledore. Quickly mentioning to Remus he goes first then I go. " It's you first.." I said with a grin. " I will do my best. " I smiled.

As I left, I thought i heard Sirius... or someone. But I was a mess, I couldn't even fathom someone seeing me like this. I got my chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream from very sympathetic house elves and made my way back to teh dorm while eating it. I needed out of this dress... I got into the dorm and set my ice cream down and went up to change. I was in a baggy t-shirt that went down to midthigh and a robe on with slippers. I was sick and tired of being dressed nice, though my hair and make-up (what was left of it) was still on and done up though. I didn't care. I dug my spoon into the ice cream and ate while staring into the fire, trying not to think about anything but the deliciousness of the ice cream.

"He thinks he likes her!" I said, almost angrily. I was fuming. "I told him I definitely didn't agree and it better nto happen... it's ridiculous. They're like family... it's just wrong." I knew Lily would disagree, but I didn't care. It was just wrong. "Ember left... she's upset, but it's for the best. I'm not sure where Sirius is..."

I nodded. I was glad there was a screen, because I didn't know th ewords. I started to sing... and it wasn't that bad:

Everyone's around, no words are coming now and I can't find my breath can we just say the rest with no sound.
And I know this isn't enough, I still don't measure up. And I'm not prepared; sorry is never there when you need it.

" So let me get this straight.....You don't like it so it can't happen so you decided to rip your sisters heart out and say that she's not allowed to like who she likes?" I asked him with crossed arms, " As to Sirius....you really think that telling him that you don't like the idea is something that he doesn't know already....James... listen. I mean....really do you think Sirius would hurt her? She's grown up...and wouldn't you rather Ember with someone who was going to take of her. It's not up to you to decide how things happen.." I said shaking my head. " That would be like Ember saying ew me and Lily are friends...you've liked her forever and it would make me feel comfortable...James I'm the little sister. Do you really want to drive Ember away by doing something like this?" I asked him. " Where Is Sirius? and where did your sister go?" I took a breath.

Then I started again. " You know you need to make this right. It'll bother you and you know I'll bother you about it..." I told him honestly. " James...just let her cool down and then go talk to her. You already know I'm going to talk to her...after I see Remus' song...then I'm going to try to talk to Ember then try to go and help Sirius and once you're ready to actually help in the situation I don't want to hear anything about how you don't like the idea.." I told him giving him a poke in the chest. Then looking up to see Remus and Chloe start.
