Re: Date night -- Summer 1998
I was so glad we finally got around to doing this. It only seemed to take forever. "So Lucy, where are we headed tonight?" I asked. Ayden said she knew a few different places.

I took a drink before speaking. "Well it all depends on what we'd all be more interested in," I explained. "The one place it's salsa night so that's a lot of hips and a little more sensual. There's the jive club... which is a lot of jumping than anything sensual. It's a lot of fun. The other place is undergoing some remodeling so it's closed."

Hmm... it seems like both options seemed like it would be a lot of fun and interesting to say the least. "What do you prefer?" I asked Lucy. Her opinion was best right now.

I smiled. "Well, I love salsa. But guys tend not to enjoy it as much -- except Dean. Him nd I had won a salsa competition or two at this same club. So they know me." I really wanted to salsa... that was why I chose the dress I had. Steph's dress was great for salsa dancing as well.

That sounded like it would be a lot of fun. I looked at the guys. "I like the idea of salsa dancing," I said. I hoped the boys would be okay with a more entertaining dance. But I knew the guys may not enjoy that type of dancing.

I smiled at the two ladies. "I'm game for whatever you all would like," I said, finishing u pmy supper. I looked at Jetty to see if he was going to counter the ladies.

I laughed and nodded. "I'm not going to go against what the ladies want," I told them. Steph and Lucy got really excited. We all finished supper and we all followed Lucy's lead on where to go and how to handle ourselves.

I was not sure how long we were there, but I had to take my heels off as we walked back to the lake. We went to the little fire pit and none of us cared about getting sand on our clothes as we plopped down on the ground. I looked at the pit and saw nothing. I groaned. "Babe..." I said, looking at Ayden. I flashed him a smile when he stood up and grabbed some wood. "Love you!"

I had known that tone and knew I had to get up. I threw a few pieces in and lit it up. I sat back down and NLucy leaned leaned into me. It had been a fantastic night. I was really glad that Stephanie thought of this... I could easily see me and Jetty becoming better friends. We all sat there chatting and laughing for the rest of hte evening.
