Date night -- Summer 1998
I knew there were issues with our group of friends. I really wanted me and Jet to get together with Ayden and Lucy. Ayden was my brother. We were so close... I wanted Lucy and Jetty to be able to hang out with each other so we could do couple things. I wanted to try to set up a date night soon. I waited at teh park where Jetty and I liked to meet each other.

I was hoping to beat STephanie to the park but I didn't. I walkedup and sat down next to her and took hold of her hand. "How are you?" I asked. It seemed like I haven't seen her in forever even though it was only a few weeks.

I smiled and leaned over to give him a kiss on the cheek. "I'm doing well... just missed you," I told him, thinking how funny or odd that I did miss him. It really was not that long.

I was glad that I was not the only who missed each other. "Do you have anything planned for today?" We stood up and we walked hand in hand through the trails in the forest.

I shrugged. "Not really... I do have an idea for something else," I said, thinking of slowly suggesting the idea of a double date. I thought it could be extremely fun. But I wasn't sure how all four of us would get along.

Raising my eyebrows, I looked over at my girlfriend. "And what is this grand nidea that you have?" I asked her. She seemed to be excited about her little idea.

I grinned at him. "I wuld love to do a double date with Ayden and Lucy. I just don't know how Lucy feels about you. But since she is fine with Ayden, I don't see where there would be an issue," I explained. I really wanted to do this. I was sure we would all be fine.

I didn't see where there would be an issue. Smiling, I nodded at Stephanie. "I think that'd be perfectly fine. It'd probably be a lot of fun." Lucy was sweet... she really didn't judge me. It did seem like the rest of them thought I wasn't following in my father's footsteps. It was rather refreshing not to be an issue anymore.

I was relieved that Jetty was okay with trying a double date. I knew he was a sweetheart... but I knew others judged him for no reason. We walked along a littel bit and I thought about exactly what to do. I was Muggle-born so my night out differed slightly. "I like the idea of a movie and dinner. WE could always stay at one of our homes. Oh, doesn't Lucy's family have a pond or something?" I questioned, not really sure about everything with Lucy's family or anything.

I nodded. "Yeah... it's sort of back behind their house," I explained. "It's a pretty big pond. We could always do a fire and picnic on the beach adn swimming depending on what everyone wants to do." I figured every option possible is good due to different interests.

I was really glad that Jetty was getting into the idea of a double date. I really thought Jetty and Ayden would get along well with each other due to them both being misunderstood and judged for their father's sins. "Do you have any preference of what we'd do?" I questioned. Really should get his opinion first.

I shrugged. "Whatever you would prefer is fine with me," I assured her. I was pretty laid back when it came down to dates and things. Mainly due to not having a seirous girlfriend besides Stephanie.

We got some ice cream and we finished walking the trail. We finished our little date and I figured that I would talk ith Ayden about this double date idea. I gave Jetty a kiss goodbye when we parted ways.
It was a couple of days later and I was to be seeing my best friend. He was going to meet at my house, so I sat on my front porch drinking lemonade waiting for him.

Since I was really just out on my own, I was definitely going to take up the option of being somewhere with a clean environment. I saw Stephanie on her front porch and walked up. "Hey Steph," I said giving her a quick hug and sitting down next to her in a rocking, whicker chair.

I poured a glass of lemonade for him and had to tease him. "Perhaps you can shower and eat here... you look like hell," I said to him. I wished my parents would just let him stay... but we only had a bedroom for me... so no spare room for Ayden. But my parents wanted to help him as much as possible so they tried to feed him, let him shower... everything they could do because of the way his family life was.
