Home for the holidays -- December 1995

I held up my hands in innocence.  "I don't tell them anything.  I'm not daft, Mum," I said to her.  I knew better than to be killed by her withering gaze.

"Yeah, we never say a word about anything," I said, even though it was a blatant lie.  "I mean, there is no way we say a word to our siblings about anything at all."  I smiled as innocently as I could.

I looked at Ron and then my other brothers before looking back at our mum.  "Yeah, don't get mad at anyone, Mum," I said.  "We never get told anything unless it's from you and Dad.  So that's never."

I sighed, though I did not entirely believe them.  "I know you have little gadgets, boys," I said to the twins.  Now, however, was not hte time to start a family argument.  Not with it being the first time we met Charlie's new girlfriend -- really the only one he has ever brought home for us to meet.

I could hear Mrs. Weasley arguing with the twins.  "They'd never do such a thing, Mrs. Weasley," I said as they entered the room, smiling innocently as I knew she knew better.

I smiled when Charlie sat next to me.  "I guess you win the bet," I said to him.  We had a bet that his mum would end up rounding on the twins at one point or another.

I grinned at Desi.  "You should have never bet against me when it comes to my own family," I pointed out to her playfully.

I had heard what Charlie and Desi had said and I feigned offense.  "Oi!  If you were taking bets... I should have been in on that," I finished, smirking and sitting down next to my older brother.

I laughed, " Well, hunny it looks like you were the bet so I don't think you could have." I said as I heard his comment as I came back into the room walking over to him just wrapping his arms around me to make him hug me.

Grinning, " Doesn't mean he wouldn't have wanted to be apart of it to guarantee he won." I pointed out to the group.

Hey now, " well, it's not like we would attempt anything in the sort." I mocked at an attempt if shock to be a bet.
