Re: Home for the holidays -- December 1995
Though I was just meeting everyone, I knew that it was time to escape. I smiled at Charlie as I squeezed out and went with the girls. "Well... that's going to be interesting in there, isn't it?" I asked as I followed them to go get Bill's other child.Jada Monroe Weasley wrote:I stood up, taking Tonks up on her offer. "Yeah, I think that sounds like a wonderful idea,' I said quickly, maneuvering my way through the chairs and bodies that were crowding the dining area.

I smiled as innocently as I could at my mum. "Yeah, we hardly got to spend time with Desdemona at all," I poitnd out to her. "Just one wave of the wand... and bam, we're good to visit."

I smirked. "Mum, when was the last time I brought a girl home? As a date," I poitned out. Never. I never brought anyone home. I was just... me. Al the time. I dated, but no one ever made it home to meet hte parents.

"Charlie has a point," I said quickly, knowing that we would win. I could see Mum's tell tale signs of giving in... maybe. It was hard to tell because they mirrored her getting more angry about things.

I smiled to George as sweetly as I could muster as he had to deal with Molly. " That's a big time yes.." I told Desi. " She'll have a few nice words for the lot of them.....then mind you they will probably have some nice words for us."

I hated when the boys did this. Normally I won, but they were right. I wanted to have more time with Desdemona and the entire family. "Fine. But then if you put one toe out of line..." I warned them, glaring at the boys - including my husband.

"Nah, I'm sure they'll find a way out of doing too much work," I said. As soon as I finished my thought, it sounded as if I heard a lot of happy voices coming from the kitchen. "Which sounds like hte boys won... "

I tried really hard not to grin at this. I looked to my older brothers who could do magic and they easily cleaned up the mess. "So... is there going to be any other visitors tonight?" I asked. We sometimes had Order stuff going on at our House. Of course Mum and Dad meetings at our House. I was just curious as to if there was anything going on tonight. I liked any chance to eaves drop. Of course, I wanted to get to know Desi - the only girl Charlie ever brought home. I just wanted to see what was going on, though.

I laughed at the girls. "I have a feeling I'm the reason they're getting off easy?" I questioned. I could not help but find that amusing. "They will try to abuse the fact that I'm here, won't they?" I guessed that it was always nice to have something pleasant in this time where fear was starting to rise rapidly.

I slapped Ron upside the back of his head. "Really, Ron?" I said to him, rolling my eyes. Of course I was part of the Order. The others were just too young to be entirely involved in anything except being mates with Harry.

I sighed. "So close.." I muttered, shaking my head at Ronald. he had a lot to learn yet about keeping his mouth closed. WE were almost out of hte kitchen and away from Mum when he had to open his mouth.

I was one of the first of us boys to get into hte living room. So I was free of Mum's withering gaze. I would still hear if she said anything, though.

Laughing, " Oh most definitely..." I agreed, " They'll try to use that to their advantage like if they do something stupid they'll more then likely ask you to come in where Molly is." I pointed out. " It happened with me a few times"

I smirked, hearing a bit of commotion down below us. "I almost think that this might be one of those times...?" I said, shaking my head.

I sighed and looked at my youngest son. "We will not be discussing Order business, Ron," I said to him sternly. "There is no way you are going to hear about anything. By anyone." I gave my older boys pointed looks as I knew that they would be the ones to tell the younger boys everything.
