I knew I loved you---- 4 October 1980

I grinned at my father and hugged him.  "Well, you're lucky Dad... you get to see my bride before I do," I said.  I looked up at teh clock and I knew that the time was near to get everyone around.  I slapped my dad on the shoulder and said, "Well, you should probably head over there... so Chloe woun't freak out or anything.  I can jus timagine how stressed she is..."

I laughed and had to agree with my son. After complimenting all of the young men in the room, I went over to the bridal room and knocked before entering. "I'm looking for my beautiful daughter," I said. I had always called Chloe that. I always viewed her that way; there was no reason to say in-law or anything like that.

Smiling I turned to face John. " Don't you look dashing." I said as I went to give him a hug. " It's almost time and I have been told repeatedly not to fall over." I laughed as he knew what a terrible klutz I am. So it was inevitable that I would trip or something. I would just be depending on him and Remus to not let me fall.

I hugged her and stood back to take in the full view of her.  "And you look absolutely wonderful," I told her, grinning.  I could not help but chuckle and shook my head.  "I would not worry about falling.  I'll make sure you make it down the aisle and I know that Remus will take it from there," I assured her.   We would not let her fall on her wedding day!  At least not at the church.

Grinning, I gave him another hug. " I know I am determined to not trip all day. " I said with a nod to add emphasis. I knew I could do it . " we should probably get out there though" I said as the time was close.

I grinned at her and offered my arm. "We do not want to keep the groom waiting... he would probably turn into a nervous wreck," I teased. I was so proud of both of them. They really were both working against all odds to be together. To be honest, I was not sure if I would ever see this day for Remus... he seemed to constantly punish himself when it came to being happy due to what he was. I was so glad that he finally came to the realization that it was alright for someone like him to be happy.

We had lined up with the groomsmen, and smiled. It was about time this happened for them. I hooked arms and the happy Groom went ahead of us. We went into the hall and stood in line waiting for the brides grand entrance. Smiling to everyone, this is wonderful. I held my bouquet as the doors closed about to reveal Chloe.

Grinning we had all entered waiting for Chloe to be revealed. The doors opened and there stood Remus' love of his life. It was about damn time for them to find one another. Laughing a bit as I noticed everyone tearing up with happiness.

I knew the moment those does opened that I would remember the way Chloe looked right then. I could not believe the way she looked. I smiled and had put a hand over my heart. She was my world... The love of my life... I couldn't believe she was going to be my wife

John and I walked and the doors opened and there he was. The love of my life. I felt my eyes tear up, I grinned. I couldn't believe we were here today. Everyone around us had said about time. I took a deep breath I squeezed John's arm he looked so handsome. We got up to the front and I gave John a kiss on the cheek and took Remus' hand.

I loved the way that Remus looked at Chloe and she right back at him.  I was so happy for both of them finally getting what they've always dreamed of having -- happiness.

I took hold of Chloe's hand and whispered to her, "There's a step."  I wasn't about to let her fall on her wedding day.  "You look amazing," I added in the same tone as we turned to face the man who would marry us.

I grinned " thank you baby." I said as I took his arm and turned towards the pastor.

I smiled at her and we faced the preacher.  After what seemed like ages but fast as lightening at the same time, he pronounced us husband and wife.  I turned to face my beautiful wife and kissed her.  We were Mr. and Mrs. Lupin... We turned to face the guests and they all stood and were more than exuberant

I was smiling from ear to ear. " Let's lead the way Mr. Lupin." I said to him as I hooked my arm in his.
