Aftermath - February 1996

I  sighed and shook my head.  "Oh, whatever... go talk to Dad.  I'm tired of heaing your voce," I joked, smiling at him so he knew that.

I feigned bein ghurt.  "Well fine," I said, getting up in a huff.  As I starte to walk away, I nudged her slightly and grinned.  "See ya later, Luce."  I said to her as I made my way to Remus's office.  I really didn't want to deal with him yelling at me... but I knew I'd have to face him at one point.  May as well be before class.  Then I could decide if I was going to skip or not.

I was rumaging around my new layered trunk.  I was organizing anything that had to deal with Boris within one fo the layers.  I didnt' need to risk another incident like the other night.

I got to Remus's office and knocked on the door.  I didn't hear anything after waiting a moment or two, so I opened it.  "Remus?" I called out.  Normally if he wasn't there, the office was locked.  This was out of character...

I poked my head out of the trunk and clammered out.  "Dean... how are you feeling?" I asked, my voice full of concern.

I shrugged.  "I'm sore... a few scrapes and buises, nothing major," I told him, checking out the trunk.

"I brought that in to store my potion and to brew it myself," I explained, noticing Dean's interest.  "It only opens the one compartment with my handprint.  The rest of the seven, just iwth a tap of the wand until I change it."  I enjoyed showing off some fun things that were related to my field.

I was hoping to keep him distracted.  I really didn't relish being yelled at.  "That's really cool.  Any new creatures for the younger students coming in?" I questioned, seeing a few tanks that were empty and wondering what he had in store to fill them up.

"Hinkypunks is what we're going to cover," I answered.  "Then I'm going to get my hands on a boggart."  I always loved the kids reaction to the boggart.  "But Dean, please sit down.  We need to discuss what had happened."  I figured he thought he would distract me out of talking about it.

Damn.  At least I tried.  I sighed and ran my hand through my hair.  "LUcy was worried.  I was going to go ou by myself, but she's stubborn.  I figured you'd be fine... but you weren't."  I knew we were stupid.

I shook my head.  "You should always assume I'm dangerous," I explained.  I don't know what had happened.  Everything tasted, smell, looked the same.  I wasn't too sure if it was the Slytherins or if Boris was building a resisitance to it.

I rolled my eyes.  "Whatever," I said.  I doubt I'd ever think of Remus as being dangerous.  Ever.  "I'll assum eyou're misunderstood."  I liked that better.

Where did these kids get their stubbornness from?  Oh right... their parents.  I shook my head.  "Just don't do it again," I warned.

Well, I was getting off pretty easy.  I nodded and stood up.  "Alright... I don't think I'd want to anyways," I said.  My body was aching.  I wasn't used to getting beat up like that.

I raised my eyebrows at him.  "WAit, one mor ething," I said, motioning for him to sit back down. I wanted toknow about the husky.
