"I doubt he will," I sadi to her. "I did ask him for permission... so it'd be pretty rude to take it back now." I chuckled, even though I knew that could possibly happen with Dahlia's dad.

I was relieved that Graham did the better thing and asked my dad's permission. I smiled at my new fiance. "Well, I'm glad you asked for my hand," I assured him. "I doubt he'll say much negative now, then."

I chuckled as Dahlia did have a point. "Ah, that's true... but it still could happen," I said to her playfully, holding her hand as we spoke.

I chuckled. "Ah, you are quite right about that," I agreed, walking easily with my new fiance. My dad was quite the handful sometimes. He never was too fond of Graham, but he knew I loved him so that was enough for his baby girl.
