It is important to remember that we all have magic within us -- Fall 1986?

I nodded at him, "I understand Father." I knew he expected me to apologize now so I took a deep breath and began. "I'm terribly sorry about what happened Father. We were just trying to right some wrongs done to us but that was no excuse to steal from you. Perhaps we should've told you our plan and asked if we could have some of the goo instead of trying to steal it. I hope you can forgive us for this Father. It won't happen again." I took another deep breath, hoping that my apology was good enough, I knew Draco and I would start to plan our revenge again once we could talk with each other but for now, we could only tap since our parents hadn't found out about that yet as far as we knew.

"Very good," I said, nodding towards her.  "Now, wash up for supper and you will be doing the dishes afterwards."  I turned on my heel and left her room.  I went next door and opened up to see Draco waiting for me like such a good lad.  "Draco, how dare you let your sister plant such nonsense into your head.  And to be a participant in helping her to attempt to steal from your own parents?"  I let the disappointment be shown in my tone of voice and in the look that I was giving him.

I hated how he always pinned everything on Juniper.  I crossed my arms as I stared at him.  "She didn't plant anything in my head.  It was my idea, too.  We came up with it together," I pointed out.  The look I received made me wish I had not said anything.  I let my arms drop to my sides again as I looked up at Father.  "Please, forgive me Father.  I am just upset and did not mean to argue with you," I said, hoping that he would not punish me more severely now.

In order to go wash up, I had to pass Draco's room. I heard him argue with Father and hoped that he wouldn't get in more trouble. If Father wanted to say I planted the idea in his head, I was okay with that if it meant Draco wouldn't get in anymore trouble then he was already in. I pretended to take my time in hopes that I could see what would happen to Draco. I knew Father would be mad if he saw me stalling but I had to make sure my brother was going to be okay. I wanted to protest but knew it would probably hurt Draco more then help him.

I was about to raise my hand to Draco, but he was quick to apologize.  "Thank you, Draco," I said, rather pleased that despite a slip up, he was able to quickly amend his mistake.  If only that were the case for what happened this afternoon.  "You are going to be separated from Juniper except at meal times -- but conversation is to be limited and, of course, polite.  I will not have any bickering, any nonsense, none of it.  Am I understood?" I looked at him piercingly.

I nodded.  "Yes, Father," I said quietly, keeping my eyes level with him.  He hated it when I looked away from him.  "I apologize for disappointing you today, Father, especially since I developed my magic.  I should not have let myself fall into bad habits."  I hated how he wanted me to act like an adult when I was just a kid.

I watched Lucius give each of our children their punishment. Juniper accepted hers pretty well and apologized fully. Draco started arguing with Lucius but quickly apologized as well. I saw Juniper heading towards the bathroom to wash up for dinner but she seemed to stop in front of Draco's room, pretending to look at something on the floor. I hoped for her sake that my husband wouldn't catch her stalling so she could see her brother as that is what I suspected she was doing.

I bent to the ground, pretending to be looking at something on the floor. When I heard my brother apologize, I was happy, hoping Father would accept it so I could stop worrying about what would happen to him. I gave a small smile at the fact that Draco had mentioned that he developed his magic today. Hopefully, Father would remember how proud of Draco he had been and he would accept the apology. All I had to do was hear Fathers response, then I would high tail it to the bathroom to wash up. I was already pushing my luck as it was. I looked over at Father, waiting for him to speak.

I put a hand on my son's shoulder and knelt down in front of him.  "Draco, I am proud of you for developing magic," I assured him, speaking a little more softly to him.  "And as long as you do better.  Now, go wash up."  I stood up and started for the door.

I smiled and saw that Juniper was outside of my door, which was slightly ajar.  "Father," I said, making him turn around to look at me.  I went up to him and hugged him.  "Thank you for having patience and being proud of me."  I hoped June would get away from my door quickly.  I knew that this would not last long.

As soon as I heard Father coming towards the door I attempted to get up and stumbled my first few steps from trying to get up too quickly. I heard Draco call our Father again and realized he was trying to stall for me. I didn't waist the opportunity and immediacy made my way towards the bathroom. I stood on my tippy toes to wash my hands. Again, I took my time, hoping to run into Draco before dinner. I knew we couldn't talk to each other but at least we could see each other.

I patted Draco's head slightly before pulling away.  "Of course Draco... now, please, go wash up.  Dobby has dinner prepared for us," I told him.  I left his bedroom and went towards the dining room.  I smiled at my wife.  "That went surprisingly well... I half expected one of them to put up more of a fight," I said to her, sitting down.

I rushed to the bathroom as quicky as I could without drawing attention to myself.  I saw Juniper in there and I closed the door behind me.  "This sucks," I whispered, washing my hands.  "What else do you have to do since I'm sure you got worse punishment than I did."

I smiled up at my husband as I took my seat opposite of him. "I think they're learning dear. They seemed to know that they had done something wrong today." I pointed out. "That's probably why they accepted their punishment so easily." I sat up straight in my chair, waiting to our children to join us.

I smiled when my brother came racing into the room and closed the door. "I just have to wash the dishes." I whispered back, holding out the towel for him to dry his hands on. "You only got separation right?" I wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything when I had run into the bathroom.
