It is important to remember that we all have magic within us -- Fall 1986?

I nodded with a smile "I'll be right out." I slipped into out Fathers positions room and closed the door behind me.

I glanced behind me and saw Juniper sneak into the room.  I found something to play with in the hall so it would not look weird me just standing there doing nothing.  I heard a chair in the living room move.  I looked up when I heard footsteps.  "Father, are you nearly finished with work?" I asked, automatically adjusting the way I spoke.  I was told that professional wizards spoke more properly than I did.  So it was one of hte things Father wanted me to practice.

I heard Draco say something properly so I assumed he was talking to Father. I found the goo but was to short to reach it. I looked around and found a stool in the corner. I went and brought it over, wish I could've done magic to get the goo to come to me. I stood on the stool and went on my tippy toes to reach it. Unfortunately, I pulled it in forward too much and it fell to the floor with a thud. Luckily it didn't' break but my eyes flew to the door, wondering if Father had heard.

I had gotten up from my work to gather something I had forgotten in the bedroom in my briefcase.  I saw Draco in the hallway and got angry right away.  "Draco, what did I tell you about playing in these rooms?  You have a play room for a reason," I told him, my tone getting a little angry.  I was quite perturbed with him.  Normally Draco listened.  I heard a noise from my potions room.  I raised my eyebrows at my son.  "What was that, Draco?  Or should I say who?" My voice was menacing and I watched as Draco recoiled slightly by just the tone of my voice.

I winced slightly at the tone of Father's voice and partially due to June dropping something in the other room.  "Father, could you please help me prepare lunch?" I asked.  "If you were completed, of course."  I tried to purposely stay in his way while talking to him.

After a few moments of no one coming in, I jumped down form the stool, put it away and grabbed the bottle of goo. I was pretty sure my only escape route was blocked by Father but maybe there was another way out. I started looking along the walls and shelves of the room, wanting to get out of here as soon as I could.

First, Draco ignored my scolding of playing in the hallway.  Second, he was clearly trying to get me to walk away from the hallway.  I pushed him to the side and entered the potions room -- which they were forbidden from going into in the first place.  "How dare you defy me, Juniper," I said letting my disappointment flow into my voice to make her feel as badly as possible.

I jumped and turned when my father yelled at me, looking at him with wide eyes. I was rooted in the spot, not sure what to do. I was happy I had enough of my brain in tact to have the hand the bottle was in behind my back. It took me a moment to be able to speak and when I did, it came out in sobs, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Tears were running down my face but I wasn't fooled into thinking that it would soften the punishment I was sure to get.

"Father!  It was my idea!" I said, running into the room, rubbing my shoulder that had slammed into the wall when he pushed past me.  "The neighbors!  We we're going to get the back for stealing my ball.  Please, it isn't June's fault!" I was trying to keep him from punishing her that I forgot to speak properly and professionally in front of him.  Something he would yell at me for later, I was sure.

I turned on Draco.  "Enough!  Go to your room and I will deal with you later," I spat at him.  "Now."  I glared at him until his square shoulders drooped and he left the room.  My gaze returned to my daughter.  "You know better than this, Juniper.  This room is off limits -- forbidden for you children.  It is for your own safety!  There are many things in here that could cause you great harm if you got your hands on it.  I set these rules in place for your own good," I said darkly to her.  Of course, that was not the entire reason.

I wanted Draco to stay with me but was happy that he was out of trouble for now. I looked at the ground as he spoke, growing smaller with each word. I held out the bottle, realizing it was useless to try to hide it from him. I wiped the tears away as best as I could. "It's my fault. I stole this and we were going to get them back for making fun of me too." I sniffed and took a shaky breath. "I'm sorry Father."

I tried to be defiant for a moment, but knew better than to stay.  I tried to give Juniper strength just through my eyes before I left and went to my room.  I slammed my door.  Why did Father have to be such a butt?  I hated him!

When my husband left in the middle of our conversation, I saw Draco playing in the hallway and hoped he wouldn't get in to much trouble but where was Juniper? They were always together. I heard Lucius and my son exchange some words before he went into his positions room and I head him yell at Juniper. What were they doing? Draco ran in but was soon sent out to his room. I wanted to get up and make sure Lucius wasn't too hard on our daughter, she had broken the rules, but what could I say to him to calm him down enough to see reason?

I was slightly pleased that they were trying to right a wrong done to them, it was definitely something Slytherin to do.  But I have rules set in place for reasons and I will not have my children be allowed to break said rules.  "Juniper, you are old enough to know the difference in right and wrong!  You do not go around stealing things from your own family," I scolded, glaring down at her.  I took the jar from her and put it back in it proper place.

"I'm sorry Father." I said once more. "It won't happen again, I promise." Draco and I would come up with another plan. We would still get our revenge, just not with the goo. I was shaking slightly from what was happening, wondering how Father would punish me for this. "It wasn't Draco's fault. It was mine."
