It is important to remember that we all have magic within us -- Fall 1986?

"Exactly," I said, nodding at her with a smile on my face.  "That'll probably be best for both of us."  I listened and did not hear our parents coming to check on us yet, so I knew that we did not have to rush to our bedrooms quite yet.

"It will be best." I said with a nod. I didn't think anyone else got in trouble for being themselves but I was starting to understand that our family wasn't wait you would call normal. I knew he was trying to see if our parents were coming and I gave him a moment to listen. "Are they coming?" I didn't hear anything but he was closer to the door.

I opened the door and shook my head.  "It was just Eddy," I said quietly.  I looked back to my sister.  "I knew I heard something... at least it was just the dog."

I nodded with a smile. "Of course it was Eddy." I looked up at Draco. "He'll sleep in you room tonight right?" I knew Draco liked to have him in his room whenever we wen't allowed to see each other. I was glad he had Eddy to keep him company when I couldn't.

I shrugged, but had a smile on my face.  "Maybe," I replied, "probably.  If I can sneak him in there... you know Father doesn't like him to get on the beds..."  I sighed.  Father did not like anything.

I nodded, "Father doesn't really like much does he?" I asked, pretty sure I was speaking what was on my brothers mind. I smiled at him though, "You've always got him in before." I reminded him. "At least you'll have him to keep you company tonight. And we should be able to play together tomorrow." My smile widened at the thought.

I chuckled slightly and nodded.  "He sleeps with me nearly every night... but I just have a feeling that Father will be more watchful tonight than others because of our punishment," I said with a sigh.  I nearly forgot about that -- Father being gone all day tomorrow.  "Mother will surely let us play tomorrow... she's not nearly as bad as Father is."

I nodded with a smile, "Mother is more reasonable." I agreed. "I can distract Father tonight so you can sneak Eddy into your room if you want." I liked to distract Father from Draco when I could, it was pretty easy. Father never wanted to punish the prefect one if he didn't have to. I wanted to make sure my brother had Eddy tonight. Draco was right though, he would probably be more watchful and may realize what we're up to. At least I can say this was my idea.

I shook my head at her.  "Don't do anything else to get yourself in trouble," I told her, wanting to roll my eyes at her.  Why did she always want to do that?  "I can manage to get Eddy in on my own... I do most every night."  I winked at her to let her know I could be jus tas sneaky as she was.

"I'm not going to get in trouble, I'm just going to distract him." I said innocently, although I knew it would probably end up that way. Why did he alway feel the need to protect me? I just wanted to help. I rolled my eyes at him. "Just be careful tonight, I don't want you to get in trouble either. My offer still stands."

I sighed.  "I'll wait until I hear Mother and Father go into bed like I normally do," I said to Juniper simply.  "Eddy always wakes me up in time to sneak him back out before they wake, too.  i swear he's the smartest dog... it's like he knows he has to sneak around, too."  I chuckled at that thought slightly.

I gave a small laugh, "I guess a Malfoy is a Malfoy, whether you have two legs or four." I said with a slight shrug, thinking of all the times we snuck around, I sighed, "I am a Malfoy, right?" I knew I was but Father was so disappointed in me it seemed, I wasn't sure if he would disown me, or worse at some point. If I wasn't a Malfoy, then who was I?

I smiled at my sister, putting my hands on her shoulders.  "Of course you're a malfoy," I assured her.  "There's really no denying it... blonde hair, blue eyes... you've got me as a twin... there's no getting out of it."  I knew that was not the reason she asked, but I was trying to make her feel better.

I laughed at my brother, he always knew what to say. "I guess you're right. No matter what I do, I'm always stuck with you." I laughed a bit harder at my attempt to lighten the mood. I had been the one to dampen it I the first place. I hugged my brother with a slight sigh. "Thanks for making me feel better Draco. You seem to have done that a lot tonight."

I smiled, shrugging slightly.  "I don't mind," I told her genuinely.  I was glad that I had Juniper around, too.  there was no denying that I needed her as much as she needed me -- even if she did not believe that.  If she was not around, I worried that Father would really get into my head and turn me into a mini him.
