My face fell as I hung my head, so much for lighter conversation. "I know and thank you. I really appreciate you not telling Father." I said sincerely. I ignored his last comment, knowing that my rebuttal would fall on deaf ears. I could try all I wanted but my brother would never believe that Harry, Ron and Hermione were good. "What should we play first for games night?" I was attempted to turn the conversation around to better topics that didn't involve home or punishments. Hopefully Draco would like this topic better as well.

I hated being the one to put that expression on my sister's face, but in all honesty... better me than Father.  I stayed silent for a moment, making sure I did not accidentally snap at her.  "We could do wizard's chess?" I suggested, knowing that Father liked us to play that because it helped with our logic he claimed.

I looked up at him, a small smile playing at my lips, "Father would even approve of that. If he ever found out we could just say we were 'working on our logic'." I put one handed air quotes around the end as I rolled my eyes. Father only approved of games that helped you in some why, not ones that were just for fun. Apparent wizard's chess was great at improving ones logic.

I nodded, wishing that even at Hogwarts Father did not decide what we did with our free time.  "Yeah... and maybe the time after that we could do something that Father might not be okay with... change it up a bit," I suggested, chuckling slightly.  I was not sure if we would really do that, but it was fun to think about.

I laughed, "Don't you think we do that enough already?" I asking, taking about doing things Father wouldn't be okay with. "What do you think Father would say of he could hear us now?" I could only imagine what he would say to us if we ever acted like this in front of him. I would probably get blamed for starting it and Draco would get in trouble for not telling me to stop and allowing me to put ideas in his head. I rolled my eyes at that thought alone.

I chuckled with her as she was right.  "I think he would take a page from Filch's book and hang us by our ankles in the dungeons by those chains," I said, only half joking.  I did not think Mother would let him do that, but then again, she never stood up to him.

I laughed, "Your probably right." Father had a interesting mind set when it came to punishments for us that just got worse as we got older. I sighed, "At least we can still be ourselves with each other" I pointed out. "Nothing will ever change that." I looked up at him, "Right?"

I wished that the joke about Filch was not even remotely close to what Father would think of, but it probably was.  I nodded at her.  "Right.  That is one thing that will never change.  I promise," I assured her wiht a smile.

"We can be ourselves with each other and we'll always have each other, no matter what." I said to him. I knew he would always be there for me, even if I was the disappointment. I could alway count on Draco. I didn't deserve a brother like him.

"Exactly," I said, grinning at her.  There was no question about it; we would always have each other where we could be as normal as possible around -- not having to worry about the way we spoke, the way we handled ourselves... anything.

"And we'll have our happily ever after once we graduate." I reminded him. I couldn't wait to get away from everything and everyone. Just me and Draco, no Father to worry about, or Mother. It would be perfect.

I grinned at her, glad she reminded me of that.  I had a feeling she would need to do that from time to time.  "Our escape to Australia," I chuckled, thinking how wonderful that would be if it did happen.

"To the land down under." I said in my best Australian accent, which wasn't very good. I closed my eyes and sighed, "It'll be amazing." I hoped against hope that we would be able to get away from Mother and Father at some point. Graduation just seemed so far away.

I laughed and shook my head.  "Good thing you have six years to practice that accent," I pointed out to her.  Six years and we could possibly be free.  That was such a nice thing to think about.  I could not wait.

"Hey." I said, my mouth opened in shock as I pretend to be hurt by his words, "Like you could do any better." I put my free hand on my hip and raised my eyebrows slightly, daring him to try.
