15 February 1977 -- Spill

I ketp my mouth shut for I feared that they would have a mutiny against me if I spoke again.  I just merely smiled so they would think that I was completely interested.  Instead, I was lettin gmy mind wander a little bit.

I smiled at Michael, giving him an approving look for keeping his mouth shut.  I returned my gaze to my best friend.  "Just... make sure you're not too evil to your brother.  He's just looking out for you."

I sighed, rolling my eyes.  "I know he is... but that doesn't mean he has to be such an arse about it," I pointed out, grinning when Michael laughed at me.

I laughed and sighed. "But Ember... this is definitely the way your brother is.  You'll have to be careful not to hurt his ego," I pointed out to her.

I rolled my eyes.  "Who cares about his ego?  James will be fine," I said simply.  "He never cares about Ember's feelings in situations such as these.  Do I need to remind you about the Jeremy escapade?"

I shuddered at that, remembering all too well what James did when he found out that Jeremy and I were an item.  But then he did have my back when Jeremy ended things.  "Yeah, but then again... James is really good at defending em when things go badly," I added, feeling the sibling need to defend my brother.

I smiled and shook my head at both of them.  "I think you both over think everything," I pointed out, though I did not go further because of the looks I received.

I shot Michael a look and rolled my eyes.  "Look, we all know James will try to tear this apart or make it blow up into a huge ordeal," I said.  "Which is where we will come in, Michael.  We will keep James from ruining this for Ember."

I nodded at them, laughing.  "I don't know if I need that much help, but thanks for the support there,"  I said, loving the look on Michael's face.  This was clearly not what Michael signed up for.

I was glad that Ember spoke up about that, though.  I really did not relish being on James patrol -- it was not like James and I did not get along, but it was just that I did not want to deal with James's wrath ...or ember's.

I laughed and shook my head.  "Ember, don't worry about it.  We'll keep an eye on James for you.  It won't be that hard," I said to her.

I grinned.  "Thanks," I said, really actually glad that I had a backup team that would keep James away from my happiness so he would not destroy it.

I sighed, knowing that I had lost.  "Hopefully we don't need to do that, though," I pointed out.  I did not want Tobi to get involved too much like she did sometimes.

I rolled my eyes.  "Michael is scared of confronting James," I said to Ember, laughin a little bit.

I could not help but laugh at that.  "Oh, I'm sorry Michael... but you might need to at one point or another," I informed him.  That seemed to be the case when one was friends with me.
