Re: Coming home -- Summer 1999 (DONE)
I gave the two ladies hugs and grabbed them something to drink. "Lucy, dear, how are you feeling?" I asked, knowing that she was just in the hospital and then to be here helping plan the wedding! That's what I called a devoted maid of honor. I smiled at them as we all settled in again. Bill and Charlie seemed to bickering over something on the menu. "Bill, let your brother have what he wants at his own wedding..." I said, sighing.

I was not arguing with Charlie over the menu. I was just trying to tell him that people would prefer chicken over fish. I had given the ladies hugs and then I had gone back to helping Charlie with the menu. "Oh Mum, just chat with the ladies about colors, dresses, and flowers," I teased.

I rolled my eyes at the three of them. What on earth was I going to be getting myself into. "Alright, Molly, let them deal with the food for right now... We are going to have Bill and Lucy as the best man and maid of honor; we have the twins with Jada and Lenni; Ginny and Ron; and of course, Tonks and Will," I explained, thinking our wedding party was huge. But we wanted our family and then of course, the others we were just close to. I had no idea what color to go with that would look good with everyone's complexion and everything.

I sighed and shook my head. "Mum is making all the food with my help. And Lucy said that Addie is an excellent chef herself working at a restaurant, so depending on how she's feeling with being pregnant and stuff, she might be able to help. But we cannot count on her because I woulnd't want to be cooking if I was that pregnant," I said laughing.

I looked at the two men. "Actually I talked to her, and she said she would definitely help. There are plenty of things to be made ahead of time that can be frozen. So just start making the list of foods and then the three of you will all have to meet to know who's making what," I said, interrupting Bill and Charlie. I loved how quaint this whole wedding was going to be.

I laughed, loving how loud this entire kitchen was right now. I stood up and pulled out some snacks and squeezed Lucy's shoulder. "Thank you dear, for talking to Addison for us. I'll get all of that taken care of after today. I'm glad that we'll be able to have plenty of help with food... I know how we all can eat," I said, chortling slightly. I looked back at Des. "Honey, do you have any idea on colors for the bridal party? That way we can get the flowers figured out..."

I sighed. "I'm not really sure. I was thinking a dark red, but that would clash with Ginny's hair and I want everyone to look gorgeous. Oh, what about a dark purple?" I asked, looking around at the group. The two blondes would look good in anything, Tonks would blend with anything, I thought that Lenni would be fine in purple, and it would be dark enough that it would compliment red hair.

I groaned playfully. "That means I'm going to have to wear a purple vest? Ugh," I said, sticking my tongue out at Desdemona when she flashed me a playful glare. At least they are figuring all this stuff out. There really wasn't much time left to dawdle with the details.

I smiled at my fiance. "I think that dark purple sounds like it would be great," I said, knowing that all these details seemed to go on forever. I was just grateful that we had help. If it were up to me, we'd just go to the ministry and get hitched there and not do a huge wedding. But I knew that weddings were the best for the ladies... it's what they always dreamed of. We stayed in the kitchen discussing the wedding and every last detail for the next couple of hours. Finally, we all decided that it was time to call it quits and go ahead and get on out of there for the time being. I gave my mum a kiss on the cheek and hugged Bill. I looked at Lucy and gave her a hug. "Glad you felt well enough to help out today," I said as we all said goodbye. I wrapped my arm around Des and kissed her forhead. "Happy that a lot of this is now decided?" I asked her.

I nodded and sighed, leaning against Charlie. "Yes I am... now I just have to figure out everything with the pregnant ladies... it's going to be hard to judge how big their bellies are going to be for the wedding. I feel like we'll be rushing for their dresses compared to everyone else's," I said, shrugging. That's what I got for having everyone in the wedding that I could. I was just happy tht things were falling into place and that hopefully everything would be going perfectly okay with the wedding planning thus far. I couldn't wait.
