Re: Final goodbye -- Summer 1999
I smiled at my friend. "Was it just me, or do you also feel relieved that he's gone? I did with my dad," I said. I really wondered if it had just been my dad or if there was something everyone had with every sucky dad out there.

Now that he said that, I guess tht was a good way to describe what I was thinking about the whole situation. "Yeah, that always a good way of putting it," I agreed. I was grateful that I wasn't the only on ehwo felt like this - which was why I wanted to talk to Jetty about what I had been feeling.

I was slightly relieved he felt the same way about losing a father like this. I raised my bottle and said, "To insane fathers," I clinked my bottle with Ayden's.

I smiled at Jetty and was glad taht we both had an understanding about everything. We both chatted for a little while and I was grateful of our relationship.
