I'll be there till the stars don't shine, till the heavens burst -- 23 September 1979

It was finally my wedding day.  It had been rough... my dad's health had gone downhill quickly.  We all had been worried he was no going to make it.  But he was here.  At the moment, I was getting my hair done up by Mum and I saw in the mirror that the ladies were all in their pale gold, floor length dresses.  They all looked gorgeous.  Tobi, Lily, and Chloe were all standing there getting around and chatting and then there was pretty little Jada in a white little dress with a pale gold bow around the waist being our flower girl.  I was so happy to be this blessed... Daddy wasn't in the best of health, but I was so happy that he was staying strong enough to be here for my wedding day.  He was so sick, though... and weak.  I just hoped he made it down the aisle.  "You ladies look awesome, by the way," I called back to the girls.  Tobi was my maid of honor and I kenw that there were no hard feelings between any of them.  I just became closer to Tobi faster than the other girls.  It had been an extremely hard thing to do was to choose.

" Why thank you Mrs. Black." I said to her with a grin on my face. She looked beautiful, " I guess it's time to get you into that dress of yours?" I asked as it hang on the wall. It looked beautiful, " He is so going to cry when he sees you." I said, I would most likely cry if Sirius and Ember did. Which was inevitable.

I laughed, letting them all help me get into the dress.  "I doubt Sirius will cry; but I'm sure I will," I said to them as they zipped me up.  It was a tube topped mermaid type of wedding dress.  It hugged my curves moderately, but nothing that was too extreme.  At about my knees it flared out a little bit so that way I could dance and, more importantly, walk.  If it had been any tighter, I would have probably not been able to do either.  I couldn't help but grin when Chloe had called me Mrs. Black.  I could not believe that I was marrying the man of my dreams.  I was definitely going to cry.

I was so glad that everything was going as planned for my baby sister and best friend. I knew what Sirius had to be thinking, because I was thinking just about everything in the book. I was the one who took the plunge first. And it had been the best thing in my life to do. I looked around the room at everyone and saw that Dad looked a little tired, but I was sure that he would make it. I knew he wouldn't let Ember down. I just hoped that he would not push himself too far. I walked over to Sirius and said, "Are you ready for this?"

" Of course mate, " I said adjusting my cufflinks. " Never been better." I said as I grinned to him. Picking up some firewhiskey. " Take a shot with me?" I asked him holding it up. I am not saying let's get hammered simply a shot with me. I didn't see why it would be problematic at all.

" You look gorgeous Em." I said to her, seeing the grin that I had on my own wedding day. " You'll be awesome. Remember to look up when you're walking with your dad." I said to her. She had a point in looking down as she walked. I did the same thing. " That way you both see each other and it'll have the same effect." I said with a smile. " I think Sirius will totally cry. You're brother cried at ours and I'm sure Remus will at Chloe's." I said shrugging it off.

I could not help but laugh when I walked in and heard Sirius say that. "Gee, Padfoot... you're lucky I know you well," I said, tossing him a small little vial. It was full of firewhiskey for him. Not much, but enough.

I turned and saw that Moony had planned for everything.  I could not believe it.  "Thanks mate," I said, taking the vial that he had handed to me.  I raised the vial and said, "To the future Mr. and Mrs. Black."  Grinning I took a swig.

I laughed.  "Thanks, Lily... I totally would not have been looking up," I said, knowing my bad habit but hardly ever correcting it.  I shook my head and checked myself in the mirror.  "I highly doubt Sirius will cry..." I said, pulling my curls over my shoulders a little bit with the veil in place.  I did look awesome, I had to say that.  I felt my heart pounding in my chest as I was sure the time was nearly upon us.

I helped get Ember's long veil to flow nicely along her back. I glanced up at the clock. I put my hands on her shoulders and said, "It's nearly time." I was so excited for my best friend! Jada was so excited, she kept twirling in her dress, loving the way that it flowed apparently.

I clinked my vial with the guys, " Why thanks guys." I laughed, this was going to be a great day.Nerves aren't existing for me. No cold feet nothing to that effect.

I looked over at the clock and grinned at Padfoot.  "Well, looks like it's nearly time.  We should probably start getting out there and lining up and everything," I said, thinking that it was a good time to get around.  There was no reason to dawdle.  I was sure Ember wouldn't be doing that at all.
