I think I agree with Moony.  I am so lucky I didn't have a daughter... so why not help out contro -- I mean, raising yours?  I think we should definitely not let her date a bunch of guys.  We're horribly mean.  I mean, I dated all those girls to make Lily jealous... how horrible of me.  

...and please... let's not remind me how my best mate was.  I hate to think of that Sirius with my sister.  *shudders slightly*

*laughs*  I think you may want to think about rephrasing that, Prongs.  And Chloe... it might not be the best who she's interested in.  She's my baby girl and deserves the best.  I know most the boys at Hogwarts... none of them are up to par.

Isn't that what Moony is practically saying?  He'd do the same thing.  He's just trying to be proactive rather than reactive.  And isn't that always the better choice?

James...did you just say that I am doing the wrong thing with her... well, here is the thing... you and Remus can tell her all these things..if she wants to do it she will. I feel like we have raised her to know whats good for her and what's not good for her. If she brings home a boy I will respect him as long as he respects her. I expect both of you to do the same. Yes, she is your little girl what about Will? Do you think he would become as bad as people were in the past. Would you support him dating a bunch of girls?! Back to Lucy if she brings home a boy I don't like I will of course not jump to the conclusion that the both of you are right now. You know if you put those types of boundaries down they will only want to do things there way anyway. *lets out breath*

If will ever dates a ton of girls then I will have a good talk with him. He should not be doing that. *sighs* you should just know that I just keep a very watchful eye on her.

No, you're digging yourself a hole....by simply saying she can't date...or better yet...date as you put it a bunch of guys.... giving her those boundaries she would date everyone who we disapprove of in hopes that we don't like them.... *crosses arms* there is nothing with being protective.

*sigh* Well, next time I'll keep my opinions to myself -- well, and probably to James and Sirius -- and pretend that I agree with everything. I'll let you handle the boys she brings home -- if she decides to, that is -- and I'll behave myself.
