Bio:

Before School Years:  John had the typical childhood.  He always had a supportive family, though he might not always have everything he needed.  They were not poor by any means, but nor were they the wealthiest people around.  They worked hard for what they had and took nothing for granted.

During School Years:  Jonathan was studious in school, but never let that get in the way of having a good time.  He had some ups and downs when it came to relationships, and did not find love until after Hogwarts.  John always had an intrigue and burning curiosity for magical creatures that were not necessarily creatures, such as:  boggarts, poltergeists, and others similar to them.

After School Years:  When Jonathan graduated, he worked hard to cure his burning curiosity of non-human spiritous apparitions.  By the time he was thirty, he was a world renowned authority on the subject matter.  He also wrote a few books about boggarts and poltergeists.  While in a Welsh wood that was known for having boggarts, Jonathan heard a scream.  That was when he found Hope, having been attacked by a Boggart, and "saved her life".  It was only when he fell truly in love with her that he told his Muggle girlfriend that she had really been in no harm.  That was quite alright with Hope.  They were then married and, after a year of marriage, they had their son Remus.

When Remus was five, Jonathan ended up offending the werewolf Fenrir Greyback.  Greyback exacted the revenge upon his poor son.  Hope left both of them and John did everything in his power to make sure that his son would be as healthy as any young child that was a werewolf.  They were able to live their lives and it was John and Remus against the world for so long it seemed.

It was John's dream to see his son be able to go to Hogwarts... and Professor Dumbledore made that happen.  He had never been so proud or happy when he saw the look on his son's face when he said he was going to be able to go to Hogwarts.  He was even more pleased when he found out that his son was making friends.  It had been his life's work taking care of Remus.  It was difficult at times, but Jonathan wanted it no other way.  But in 1975, he stumbled upon Cathie.  He and Cathleen nearly fell in love at first sight.  It was ten years since his marriage ended and Cathleen was separated from hers.  They were together for a few months, but ended it due to Cathie being pregnant.  The timing was questionable, but John was not going to stand in the way of that child having a complete family.  Cathie was almost certain it was Robert's -- her husband.  They could not verify until the child was born, but by the time she was, Cathie and Robert seemed to be happy.  John had visited when Penelope was born, but he and Cathie decided not to do the testing because Cathie was supposedly happy and thought for sure that Penny was Robert's.

Four years later, Cathie was getting a divorce from Robert.  Their relationship seemed to pick up right where it left off... there was nothing there to hold them back now.  They still did not do a paternity test on the child because it would be so difficult and still John did not want to get in the middle of everything.  Penelope knew Robert to be her father... Cathie got custody of Penny and that was when they did the test.  Jonathan had a daughter.

John and Cathie got married shortly after the Wizarding War was finished.  They had a son together, Nathaniel, and he brought a lot of joy to the slightly older couple.  They had Remus and Penny's help, though, with the very energetic and demanding Nate.  He was only nine when John died.
