I chuckled slightly. "Don't worry," I said to him. "You'll hear from me." At least I hoped I would be able to give him word on what was going on... if Dad did something to me, though, it would not be good.

I looked at Jetty hard. "I'd better," I warned him. "And not just because it deals with my parents." Jetty was one of my best mates and I was not going to lose him because of Peter.

I was kind of surprised by the last part of what Evan said. I smiled at him as reassuringly as I could. "I'll let you know," I assured him. "About everything as soon as I can."
