Acting the part -- Spring 2017

I chuckled.  "Alright, I understand that," I said to him.  "So you're already in the friendzone, though... which kind of sucks."

I stared at Graham.  "Excuse me, but I believe I can get out of the friendzone," I said to him.  "And who said I was even there?" How dare he insinuate that I could not get Victoria.

I laughed.  "You're in the friendzone," I assured him.  "You know you are; you're practically family.  That means friendzone."

I stared at Graham, not wanting to believe him... but he did have a point.  "Just because I'm pratically family doens't mean I'm automatically in the friendzone," I countered lamely.

I raised my eyebrows at Ben.  "Right," I said sarcastically.  I sighed.  "You can get out of the friendzone; some people are able to do that, I guess."  I had no idea what Ben wanted from me.

Why did Graham have to be so bloody difficult?  "Oh, trust me," I assured, "I will get out of the friendzone.  It can't be that hard, can it?  Uncle Ron did it with Aunt Hermione..."

I laughed at Ben, but not because he was daft merely due to the fact that it was entertaining.  "Perhaps you're speaking to the wrong person, then," I poitned out to him.  "You're uncle might be the better choice than me."

I chuckled and shrugged.  "I suppose," I said to Graham. "But this is far easier to talk to you rather than him.  I bet I'd get scolded or something."

I had to agree with him there.  "And probably loads less awkward, too," I added.  I sighed and took a sip of the drink in front of me.  "Hopefully things will go your way."
