I'm not great at the advice; can I interest you in a sarcastic comment? -- TBD, 5th year

I grinned.  "I'm sure the would," I agreed.  "But I'd rather just eat whatever they have prepared.  It's much kinder for them, anyways."  We got to the kitchen painting and we tickled the pear.  We entered the world of house elves.  I laughed at the welcome and spoke to the house elves like people -- because they really were.  "Oh, I would love some pumpkin juice!" I said to them when they offered.

I chuckled and asked for the same thing from them.  "Oh, and some of those cream puff things that were at dinner, pelase," I added, grinning at them.  Then I looked over at marie.  "What?  I'm still kind of hungry..."

I stared at Thad when he asked for some more dessert.  I just laughed and shook my head.  "Clearly," I said to him, thanking the elves when they brought us our treats.  I drank some of the pumpkin juice and watched Thad chow down on some of the puffs.  "You have no manners..."

"What?" I asked, my mouth still partially full. I swallowed everything and then shook my head.  "Sorry, should I eat slower or something?"

When she rolled her eyes, I smirked at her and continued to eat the puffs.  "These are delicious, though.  Just saying."

I stared at Thad.  "Are you going to share them?" I questioned, hoping that I could have at least one of hte puffs.  They had been very good at dinner.  I just was not going to deal with a pig and bad manners.

I shook my head and grinned at her through the puffs in my mouth.  "Sorry, you shoul have thought about getting some yourself,"I teased.  Of course I would give her one, but I was not going to make it easy.

I rolled my eyes at him and hit his arm.  "Hand at least one over," I said to him, demadning to get a puff.

I wanted to argue, but instead I handed one over to her.  "That's the only one you get since you weren't wise enough to get your own," I teased her.

I laughed at Thad and took the puff, eating it slowly.  "I just don't think of food as much as you do, Thad," I pointed out to him playfully.  He always had a thing with food... he could make the tastiest treats himself, too.  He was a very good baker and cook from everything I got to try that he made.

I shrugged.  "That's alright, though," I said to her.  "It just means that there is more for me."

I rolled my eyes.  "Thad, why did you drag me over to the kitchens?  I was rather comfortable in the dorm," I said to him, knowing that he was just being a mate.

"Because it's nice to be able to stuff one's face," I pointed out to her easily enough.  "We can go back now if you want."

I laughed at Thad and sighed.  "Yeah, we may as well," I said to him, thinking of the comfortable pouf that had my name written all over it with my pile of blankets and all the pillows other students tossed off the couches and chairs.  "We can maybe get the others and play a game or something?" I suggested.

I smiled at Marie. "I think we could manage that," I said simply, leading the way out of the kitchens. "We'll wait to see who's all already down in the common area before we sound the alarm."
