Re: If today was your last day
I furrowed my brow slightly, but stayed quiet. Penny was telling me things between the Weasley boys. I wished they would all mend their differences... now was not th time to be breaking ties but strengthening them.

I shook my head. "No changes," I said shortly. There was no way I would keep getting involved, but then again... I tried really hard to keep them in touch without Percy getting upset with me.

I gave Penny a look, but said nothing to her. "Well... things are still tense" I responded.

It was definitely time to change the subject. I cleared my throat slightly and looked over at Parker. "How is Parker developing with everything?" I asked, trying to get their moods to be brighter again.

It was amazing to see the change on their faces when Ollie brought up their son. I smiled and continued to eat while they spoke about Parker Weasley -- their little bundle of joy.

I grinned, glad to be speaking of Parker rather than the rest of hte Weasley clan. "Oh, he's doing wonderfully," I said. "I suspect he'll end up being as smart as his daddy."

I knew that Penelope would be the first one to respond to that quesiton. When it came to Parker, she was the proudest of parents. "Says the Ravenclaw of the family," I pointed out when she spoke of smarts. I took a sip of wine and looked over to where the boys were feeding themselves between Katie and Penelope. "Looks like Ben is getting along well, too," I added, looking at Oliver and Katie.

I laughed seeing the boys covered in their supper, which was not surprising at all. "Oh yeah, Ben is getting along just fine," I said. "He's walking already... something I can't believe is happening." I looked at the other three. "I can't wait to get him his first toy broom, though..."

I rolled my eyes playfully. "And how does Katie feel about that?" I asked, looking over at her.

I laughed and sighed. "Well, there is no way stopping it," I admitted. "So I may as well just agree..." I knew Ollie was waiting for Ben to turn into a great Quidditch player like his dad.

I was rather surprised. "Aha! I finally won something," I said, laughing.

I could not believe that Katie was not going to put a stop to this. But then again, Katie loved Quidditch as much as Oliver. "Well... as long as we don't have to end up in St. mungo's because of an early broomstick accident," I teased.

I put a hand on Penny's. "I doubt either one of them would let that happen," I said to her easily enough. "It's not like they would get him a fullsized one right away or anything... would you?" I was not too sure about Oliver.

I chuckled and shook my head. "I'll make sure that he doesn't get a real broom until he's at least old enough to go to Hogwarts," I said, giving Oliver a pointed look.

I sighed. "I think that's a little old... maybe when he's five," I suggested, hoping that Katie would not nix that idea too quickly. He would need to practice starting out early to make the team.
