We weren't born to follow....come on and get up off your knees...hold on to what you believe-- December 15 1998

I was growing tired of the search for ways to get rid of Tom. We ended up finding out that one of the horcruxes was at Hogwarts. We made it back into Hogsmeade, except some of the death eaters were waiting for us. " RON! DUCK!" I shouted, " STUPEFY!" I jumped behind a crate as two spells came flying towards me as they hit the crates and it exploded. I was blown back hitting the building. Bloody hell that hurt. Gathering myself quickly, " Ron, 'Mione!" I shouted.

I tried to keep a tight eye on both Harry and Ron. More Death eaters were showing up, this was getting out hand. When I saw Ron almost get hit by a spell when Harry caught it. I jumped back and covered my face only temporarily. Looking up after the crates exploded. " Ron!?...Harry!?" I said loudly anticipating the death eaters to answer me first. I had my wand at the ready.

I had been in charge of the group in Hogsmeade we were told to be on the look out for Potter and his friends. It was if almost on cue they showed up. I saw the Weasley boy and Potter and the Mudblood girl. " Now, now.." I shot crucio at the Weasley boy as Potter told him to get out of the way.

We had gotten back to Hogsmeade and what we found was as to be expected.  It was a trap, but there was no other way to go about it.  We had to get to Hogwarts and get that Horcrux.  Curses were being thrown about like candy at a bloody parade.  I lifted myself off of the ground, my ears ringing, but calling out.  "Mione!  Watch it!" I shouted, seeing a Death Eater aiming their wand at her.  "Harry?!" I called out, not having heard my best mate's voice.  I swear... if someone ended up getting him... that'd the last thing they ever did.  And in my lapse of worrying about myself and more about my conrads, I got hit.  White dots exploded before my eyes as I cried out.  It felt as though I were in a bed of pins jabbing at me from all sides.

I heard shouting and knew it in an instant. " RON!?" I shouted. I hadn't heard 'Mione. I had to find them both. I jumped over the debris of the crates and rushed over to where I heard the shout of pain. Seeing the familiar red hair I jumped over a few barrels and got down to the same level as Ron. Trying the counter curse to help him. He was cringed tightly, " Can you move?" I asked him as I peered over the table that thankfully was a bit of a shield for us.

I turned around just in time to get hit in the face by a large fist as I stumbled back and fell on the ground. I dropped my wand as I looked up to the giant now standing over me. I went looking side to side. Where is it?!.....WHERE....He pointed his wand at me, I shut my eyes and lifted my foot up quickly in hopes to make contact with him. At least long enough to distract him, I ended up kicking him in the gut. He doubled over briefly as I thankfully found my wand and turned to face him when he sent me flying through the window.

I nodded, stumbling to my feet.  I was still achy, but Harry's counter curse helped a lot so I was able to be mobile.  "Where's Hermione?" I asked through clenched teeth.  And that was when I saw her flying through the air.  "Harry!  Go check her!" I yelled, aiming a curse towards the Death Eater who made her go through the glass that shattered overhead.

Nodding, I ran over to where Hermione had landed. She had some cuts and scrapes. She said she was all right. I helped her up as we made our way back to Ron. Finally we all were there and ready. Wands drawn as they seemed to think we would just give up. We had to make it into Hogwarts there is no other way. " We need to get by them.."

I stood to the right of Harry, holding my wand out at the ready.  I nodded with determination.  "Let's do this," I said darkly.  I knew that we would be needing some backup... which I had no idea how we were going to get.

I laughed menacingly as I moved to the front of the group of fellow Death Eaters.  "Aw... look at the itty bitty babies... you look so scawred," I said, egging them on with another cackle.  "Do you really think we're going to let you stroll back up to the castle?"

Regulus and I ended up thinking we should head to Hogwarts because we were getting the chills. I was not about to let anything happen to the kids. We showed up to Hogsmeade and it was a dead town. No one was around. This was so weird to see it so empty. " Where is everyone?" I asked my husband as I walked closer to him.

The hairs on the back of my neck were standing up. I had my wand out at the ready. I heard the familiar cackle that belonged to my cousin. "I think we've found them," I whispered, pointing them out. I really hoped that we were not too late... Bellatrix was ruthless. I was not about to let her hurt them...

I pulled my wand out as we walked towards the group that was now looking like a predator catching it's prey. " No time better than the present. " I whispered. I squeezed his hand, " Bellatrix." I said loudly so she could hear me and take her attention away from the kids. If we can give them time to get to Hogwarts that's what we'll do.

Looks like help read our minds, " Looks like we have help." I told them as I didn't take my eyes off of either Bellatrix or her dumb oaf of a husband. We needed to get to Hogwarts, there was no ifs. We needed to. I was so grateful when Lenni's aunt and uncle showed up.

I glared at my cousin.  I would not take my eyes off of her.  The rest of them could be easily handled... but Bellatrix just enjoyed causing mayhem and destruction so much more than the others.  She was mine.  "No matter what, get them to the castle," I whispered to Aimee.  I knew what would easily happen.  Everything seemed frozen as the five of us stared at the Death Eaters -- as if sizing up our components and them sizing up us.  And of course it would be Bella who made the first move.  I saw it coming and protected the group.  That was when all hell pretty much broke loose in the village.
