Face down -- TBD

I had heard what this prick did to Lyla.  She was family.  And even if she was not family, no one hurt a woman like that.  I waited until Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle all made it down to the common room.  I knew Malfoy already got a beating from Xander - which he definitely deserved - but he would learn that Blacks did not back down.  I wanted to make it rain... he knew Xander was bad, well, I had anger problems, too.  I heard their voices enter the noise from everyone else in the common room.  I stood up and methodically made my way to where I heard their voices -- I became quite talented at avoiding chairs and whatnot.  Plus, it helped when everyone moved their feet so I would not trip over them.  "Malfoy, we need to talk," I said, stopping in front of him.  His pompous laughter died down.  He was between me and a wall... which would be perfect.

Black and I always got along, so it took me a moment to understand why he looked so pissed off.  I rolled my eyes, knowing the effect was lost on him as he was blind.  "Look, Black, I don't have time to deal with the likes of you," I said, my tone letting him know how bored I was of all this.  "Take a rain check."  I went to walk around him when he put a hand on my chest to stop me.

I put a hand on his chest, trying to stop him from walking away from me.  I would prefer this not to escalate that much while in the common room.  But when he just brushed my hand away and went to walk around me, well... I was not okay with that.  I slammed him up against the wall, my forearm on his neck, constricting his airway just enough to make him think twice about trying to do something stupid.  I could feel Crabbe and Goyle nearby -- probably getting their fists ready rather than their wands.  They were truly just as dimwitted as what their fathers were according to Dad.  I got really close to his face and I whispered darkly, "If I hear that you ever touch another woman again the way you touched Lyla... I will hunt you down.  You got that?"

I was expecting Crabbe and Goyle to help me more than they did.  It seemed as if they were afraid of this punk who was two years our junior.  I waited until he loosened his grip on me and I rubbed my throat.  "Just for your information, Black.. I don't answer to you.  Nor will I ever," I pointed out to him.

Oh really?  He would not answer to me?  I did not care if I was a few years younger than him; he would answer to me if he wanted to hurt a woman the way he hurt Lyla.  He started to shove pass me and I put my hand on his shoulder and held my grip tightly.  I felt him wince slightly.  Good, I wanted him to know I was serious.  "Try me.  I find out you hurt someone like that again... you will find out just how much you answer to me, Malfoy," I told him darkly.

"I would like ot think that I don't hurt the innocent or disabled," I said snidely, "but you're really pushing your luck, Black.  Get your hands off of me."  I did not need to say the words 'or else' but I knew that they lingered in the air between us.  I was glaring at him and hated that my dark looks were lost on him.

I laughed darkly.  "Really?  Then what do you call Lyla?  I would say she was pretty damn innocent," I said, keeping my hand on his shoulder.  I was not going to let him just walk away from me.

I was not going to stand for this.  Instead of reacting like a rational person -- and to be honest, what Slytherin does? -- I just moved to punch him in the face.  He moved quickly and I could not believe that I missed him.  He was bloody blind.  He grabbed my arm and slammed me against the wall, my back towards him.  "Black... this is enough," I hissed at him.  He needed to keep his cool.  We were normally on the same ground.  We would have spats, yes, but nothing this bad.

I loosened my grip and let him go.  "Malfoy, I don't want to hear about you hurting her again," I said, rolling my shoulders and letting my clothes readjust on my body.  I hated how easily Malfoy and I got along.  It really was bothersome.  I knew it drove myfamily insane.  I sighed and shook my head.  "You don't need to be such a prick.  You don't need to go around hurting people like that."  It was the only thing Dorian and I disagreed on.

I walked into the common room and saw Stan and Ian having a confronation.  I moved towards them.  "Everything alright?" I questioned, knowing the looks on their faces meant that there was definitely some issues that had arisen.

I looked towards the group near the split of the dormitories.  I saw that Rory went over there to help clear things up with Ian and Stan.  I leaned back in the chair and watched them.  I knew that if more of us went over there, it may escalate things.  I just saw that Ian was glaring at Stan and Stan looked quite angry, obviously he could not glare at Ian back.

I put a hand on Rory's shoulder.  "Everything is fine," I informed my friend.  "We just got a little heated is all."  I knew that Ian would agree with me.  We both tended ot be hot heads, so we would be perfectly fine by the end of hte night.  That was just the way things worked with him and I.

I looked at Ian and only when he nodded did I finally agreed that everything was fine.  "Do I even want to know what it was all about?" I asked them, though I was sure that I already knew the answer of that.

I shook my head.  "It doesn't matter," I informed Rory.  "Why don't we all go and sit down and relax?  Perhaps a game of chess or something..."  I did not feel like fighting and I was sure that Ian had calmed down, too.  I could not sense any more anger, just a little amount of tension due to us being awkward.

I nodded at Rory, giving him a smile.  This was what us Slytherins did.  We would have a spat and get over it.  "That sounds good... Daphne is in our favorite spot looking as if she is saving us seats," I said.  I waved Crabbe and Goyle off; I did not need them hovering around me every second of my life.  Though it was nice to have them as backup.
