Summer Nights -- July 1973

Oh, she had quite the idea.  I glared just thinking about that.  "We're definitely doing that," I said to Tobi with defiant tones.  "Payback is horrible... something that they may not ever see coming."

I grinned.  "We'll make the potion here, though, so that way it won't be weird if we bring the ingredients, you know?" I said to her.  "It's not like we're leaving straight away, right?"

I nodded at her.  "Okay, yeah, that makes sense," I said.  "No, we're not.  We have some time to handle the making of the potion," I assured october.

I sighed, pursing my lips slightly.  "But we'll have to slip it into packing without your parents noticing.  I wouldn't put it past them to check thel uggage with your brother and Srius going," I pointed out ot Ember.

I shook my head.  "I'm the good child," I pointed out to October.  "They won't check our things... they just assume I'll behave myself."  that was the one good thing about having James as an older sibling.  They were always busy about keeping him under control that I got overlooked sometimes.

I chuckled.  "The good child?" I questioned, shaking my head.  "I doubt they think that..."

I grinned mischievously.  "The better child," I amended.  "Does that sound a little better?" I giggled.

I smirked at her.  "that's not much better, but it's good enough," I said to her, shrugging my shoulders.  "And if James gets Sirius to go, well, they would very much be more focused on teh two of them than the two of us."

"You definitely have a point," I agreed.  I knew my parents would deal with the two of them more than me and Tobi.  They always did when the four of us were all home together, anyways.

"Of course I have a point," I said to her, plopping onto her bed.  "Do you want to go bug James or something...?" I could see out the window of her room and saw James outside by himself. I was not entirely sure what he was up to, but I figured we could get even for something.

I went to my window and saw my brother as well.  "Of course I'd love to bug James... especially when he doens't have his sidekicks with him," I said, smirking at Tobi.  I went to my bedroom door quickly.  "Hurry... or he'll end up having on eof his mates over or he'll go to the lake."  Of course I was speaking of hte Lupin lake.

I stood up and we went out to James who was starting to chill in the pool.  "Oi, James, hows it going?" I questioned, walking to the side of the in-ground pool.  I kicked off my sandals and put my feet in.  "all by yourself today?"

I looked at Tobi and saw Ember behind her.  I sighed. "For the moment," I said to them easily enough.  "What are you two up to?"

I shrugged.  "Not much... but Tobi is the mate I'm taking on the trip," I said to James as that was not going to be a secret or anything.  "who are you taking?"  I wanted it to be a casual way for us to find out who we're up against.

I grinned.  "Yeah, which of the group are you taking?  Brains, brawn, or bumbling?" I asked.  The three of us would know who each of those were.
