I'm Yours -- 14 February 1997

When e got down on one knee, I got tears in my eyes. I couldn't believe what was happening! I was so happy. My hands went to my mouth and I nodded. "Yes," I said, my voice in a disbelieving whisper.

I grinned at her and slipped the ring on her finger. I kept hold of the hand and kissed her. I had been so nervous about asking her. "You have no idea how happy and releived I am that you said yes," I told her, chucklign slighlty.

I smiled, unable to stop. I looked at the ring on my finger. It was beautiful. "Dean... why relieved? Really think I'd say no?" I teased, looking at him.

I laughed and shrugged. "I mean, I didn't think you'd say no... I was just nervous," I said honestly. With how we were, it seemed reasonable to be unsure.

I stood up and hugged him. "You should know by now, I'm yours," I told him, kissing him again.

I hugged her and felt her shiver. I did realize that almost all the candles were gone. How long was the warming charm going ot last? "We can head back inside," I told her.

I really wanted to keep going, but I was getting really cold. That was the sucky part of being in different houses... I really wasn't sure if anyone would let me in Gryffindor. And I knew it wasn't really allowed, either. But it made everything a little bi tmore sweet in my opinion. "Yeah, okay," I said agreeing with Dean. It was getting chilly.

I smiled at her and took her hand. We walked downstairs and I would walk her all the way to her House again. I wondered who she would tell first. "So... best Valentine's ever?" I asked, jokin.

I pretended to think. "I don't know," I teased. "Of course it was! But you realize you just made it nearly impossible for future Valentine's days, right?"

I groaned slightly, thinking that she was completely correct.  I still could not help but chuckle.  I leaned forward closer to her and giving her a kiss on the cheek.  "Challenge accepted," I said to her, laughing.

I could not help but laugh and shake my head.  "Wow, Dean... why does that not surprise me?" I inquired, wondering what on earth he could possibly do.  I just could not stop smiling,t hough.  This was the happiest day of my life.

Smirking, I just shrugged.  "Well, because perhaps you just know me that well?" I suggested.  I took her hand and we walked slowly back towards the main area of the school.  I was sure that Filch or Mrs. Norris would probably end up stopping us, but we had Uncle Remus to back us up.  "Who are you going to tell first?" I asked her.

I laughed, surprised that Dean was actually wondering what us girls would end up discussing.  "Well, it's between either your sister or Cassie first," I explained.  "And Lucy... maybe I'll get them all together and tell them at once."  I was not entirely sure what I would do about that, yet.  I definitely did not want to deal with Morgan.  "Who will you be telling?"

"You should tell them all at once," I suggested.  "That way none of them get offended."  I knew how girls could get catty about things like that.  Then I shrugged.  "I don't know... probably the guys.  Uncle Remus already knows... Owl home to mum and dad..."  I was so excited that this had happened, but I was not a girl to continue spreading it all around like Addison clearly wanted to do.

I nodded.  "Maybe we should have a little get together?  Like in the Room of Requirement?  A little party and then just announce it to everyone...?" I suggested.  "Well, at least all the students."  I figured that might be a wonderful idea.  Get everyone together and celebrate the happy occasion.
