New places, faces.....potions class disaster--TBD

Dominic frowned as he watched his father behave in a manner that was most unlike him. He was tempted to go over and ask him again what was going on, but he thought better of it and picked up his books and left the classroom. His mind was racing--what had upset his father so much? It was as though something had given him a blow to the stomach. Whatever the case, he thought, something is definitely not right. Was it something about Mum?

For the millionth time, Dominic wished he had the gift of Legilimancy, even though, he knew, even studying that was far above his level at this point in time. He would have to wait to find out what was going on, and he hated waiting for anything, a trait that he'd gotten from his mother. A smile crossed his face as he made his way into the Slytherin common room. He'd find out soon enough.

Well, that went....well. I gathered up my books and went to go find everyone else. Spotting them I walked over. " Hi, thanks for taking some of that away from me. " I said with a smile. " I didn't know that we were supposed to read the whole book by the time we got here. " I said simply. I mean, I just found out that I was a wizard a few weeks ago. This was all still very new. " We have flying next right?" I asked them.

After the class had gone, Severus sat down in his chair and leaned back, closing his eyes and running the note over in his mind before actually reading it again. It was from Betta.

Severus,
I know this is going to come as a bit of a surprise to you, and perhaps I shouldn't be telling you this on the first day of school, but this can't wait, love. I went to St. Mungo's today and found out that I'm pregnant again. I'm a little over two months...I should be due sometime in April. So far I'm doing well, so you don't need to worry about me. Please don't go docking points from everyone because of this; I know how you can get sometimes.

Send me word on the next Hogsmeade visit. I plan on coming to Hogwarts then to see you. I love you.

Severus let out a huge sigh. "Of course you know how I can get sometimes." he murmured to himself as he got up and swept out of the room and into the corridor. On his way into the entrance hall, he found two second-year Ravenclaw students whispering to each other at the foot of the staircase. "Ten points from Ravenclaw for not being in class where you belong!" he spat as he passed them. Where was he going? He didn't know. His brain was much too muddled for him to think clearly. He needed to talk to someone...anyone...

We made our way into the Great Hall we had time to kill before we had to go to flying lessons. It was also another way to try to help Will calm down a bit. Get him some food and he should be good, " Yeah," I said to Harry. " Next is flying." I said as I looked to Will who looked a little more than normal. " We'll get through potions...one way or another. Remember to try not to hold certain stuff in Will. you've told me that it can get worse when you do that. "

I sighed, " I know I need to calm down. If anything I should write dad and ask him for some tips on how to deal with Snape. Maybe we should refer to him as our parents did. " I said with a slight smirk. " Snivellus....mind you he should NEVER hear you when you say it but it is nice to see we can have a little nickname for him. " I said with a laugh as the house elves brought us some food.

Dominic entered the Great Hall just in time to hear the word "Snivellus" being thrown out. He made his way over to Will, and slammed his booksack down in front of Will's face.

"I suppose the next thing you'll be doing is call me a greasy git along with calling Dad 'Snivellus'." he spat. "You should be happy he canceled class...you didn't have any more points docked off from Gryffindor." Dominic sneered at the group and yanked his booksack up onto his shoulder. "I'm not like my father in one respect--I will not be bullied the way he was." He smiled. "I get it from my Mum, what can I say?"

Saying this, he made his way over to the Slytherin table. He was just about to sit down when his father walked quickly over to him and whispered something in his ear that made him drop his book sack.

"What?" he said loudly, drawing the attention of several students. "No...that's not possible, is it? That's not possible." He sat down and ran his hand through his black hair. "That's not possible! Dad, is that possible? I mean...you...her...is that possible?" Dominic stood up and paced the floor between the Slytherin and Gryffindor tables. "No. No, this is not possible. This is not possible."

Raising my eyes, " We wouldn't if you didn't give us reason too." I said loudly as he stalked off. " What an odd kid..." I said with a shrug, looking to Will. " I think we should use it. Although, everytime we come near him you may need some assistance not losing your temper. "

Elisabetta Domenici Snape, dressed in blue robes and a blue cloak, entered the Great Hall after having visited with Professor Dumbledore. She looked around for her son and her husband and found both immediately.

"Dominic, sweetheart!" she exclaimed, hurrying over to her son. "You've heard the news...I couldn't wait for the next Hogsmeade weekend, I had to come sooner. Where's your father--oh. I'll be back in a moment." she added, planting a kiss on Dominic's head before running to Severus and throwing herself into his arms. "Sev...you've heard, haven't you? It's amazing, isn't it? I mean...who knew this would happen?" she gushed. "Oh, love...my love...tell me you're happy!"

"Betts--" Severus began, startled to find his wife jumping into his arms. "Betta, where did--when did you get here? You told me you were waiting until the next Hogsmeade weekend! I--" he broke off as she kissed him--"Not in here, love...yes, I'm happy! I'm very happy! I'm just surprised, is all...Betts..." He kissed her back. "Merlin's beard...boy or girl?" he whispered. "Do you know yet? Is it too soon to know?"

Elisabetta's eyes shone as she looked at her husband. "It's a girl, love. We're having a girl!" she whispered in reply. "A daughter, Severus, think about it!" She threw her arms around his neck again. "I had to come tell you in person...waiting would have killed me!"

She turned around just then and smiled at the Slytherin table. "My favorite table in this Hall." she stated. "Are you giving hell to the Gryffindors yet? Hope so. Merlin knows they could do with being knocked down a few hundred notches. They're just as bad now as they were when I was a student."

I held my tongue so much I thought it would bleed. " We needed to be knocked down a few hundred knotches...what does that make to the Slytherins. I saw Will look up to me and grin. " Shut it.." I mumbled angrily. Knowing he was enjoying watching my skin crawl as I kept my mouth shut. Which was a very hard thing to do. Gods, I just hope she doesn't notice that I am Sirius' daughter, or Will remus' son. Otherwise we will not be held for our response. And besides, if she does say something about Remus or chloe she should know that Will may have a bit of his father's little problem. And gods if she brings Remus' little problem up. I don't know what would happen.

" What happened to Calm Elena?" I asked her knowing the look of death I would get. " Oh come on now... you had it coming." I said with a laugh. I heard them talking I shook my head and tried to ignore it as I continued eating. " This food is really helping with my calm.....ness" I said not really knowing how to explain it.

Betta turned away from Severus and stared at Will Lupin. "You look incredibly familiar." she stated, tilting her head to one side and looking at the boy from a different angle. "Something about the nose and the chin...Remus Lupin." Betta finished, realizing who Will looked like. "Well, well...who would have thought that Lupin of all people would have spawned. I thought that would've been impossible for him."

Her eyes made their way up and down the Gryffindor table, then over to the Slytherin table again. She walked over to Dominic. "You're going to have a baby sister, love." came her whisper. "It's a bit of a shock, I know, but it's all going to be fine. You'll see. Oh, Severus..." she began, turning toward Snape again. "I need to talk to you for a moment alone, love. Let's go out to the Entrance Hall."

Well, I guess she knew Dad might have been not on friendly terms with this woman, she talks about spawn...when hers is sitting right there. I sighed, reminding myself to stay calm, in which case if this woman continued talking to me would be a huge issue. " Well they had me and my sister..." I said with a response always told to answer when someone makes a remark to me. Over hearing about the other child, I grinned, and she talks about my parents spawning. geez.

SPAWNING!? ...Really. She just said Remus and Chloe spawned, if they spawned and will looks like that...then what is there own son compared too. I shook my head and ignored the urge to laugh at my own joke, inside my head. It's good it's helping. " I said with a smile. Will was very calm, and he looked better than he did in potions. We looked on as they left the hall. Oh good.....What now
