Friends uplift the soul -- September 1991

"As they say, 'those who don't learn history are doomed to repeat it.'" I sighed and looked back down at my work. I took a moment to think everything through before continuing. "The Germans and Nazis were crazy though, there has to be some here people who are more, open minded." I looked up at her. "I just hope that things can change. Really, there's no reason for it."

I nodded, totally agreeing with her.  I was happy that I had met someone who seemed to have very similar beliefs.  "definitely," I said with a sigh.  "Perhaps our generation can be the one to make the change and difference."  It seemed like a long shot, but it was definitely a possibility.
