The Start of Something New - September 1991

My eyes widened. "Like howls from a werewolf or something? Thats creepy!" I sheepishly wrap my arms around myself "I am not so fond of scary things. If we are going to be honest, I almost peed myself when the ghosts came in at dinner the first night here. I mean I was expecting it, but still gave me the heebie-jeebies" I shudder.

I gave a little laugh, hoping she didn't take it the wrong way. "I know what you mean but I love the scary stuff." That and Draco and I had planned in seeing it together as soon as we could. "I can't wait!"

I stick my tongue out then smile. "Well to each their own."

"To each their own." I agreed with a small laugh. I took out the books I needed and placed them on the table as I though of other places in Hogsmeade. "What about Zonko' joke shop? That's not scary."

"I've never been in a joke shop. But from what Dora said about it it is awesome!" I pause and shudder a little. "But its not so awesome when you are the subject of those jokes all the time. I was Dora's test subject the summer between her third and fourth year. Well until Dad found out and took away all the stuff and grounded her. Then she got all huffy about it. Though I think a little game of fairplay after third year is in order." I smirked.

I rolled my eyes. "As mean as that sounds, revenge never gets you anywhere." I assured her. "Trust me. You can be the bigger person."

"Don't worry, I know that" I smile. "But it doesn't mean I can't do something harmless." I wink at her. "Don't worry its not out of malicious intent. We do love each other; I wouldn't do anything bad or permanent to her. This is just how we show our love sometimes. She learned her lesson to not be too harsh with the jokes when she got in trouble. Then she would teach me jokes and stuff. I am pretty sure she will be expecting it."

So that's what it was like in a normal family, a normal sibling relationship. Draco and I spent too much time protecting each other, mostly him protecting me, we never really had a chance to do stuff like she was taking about to each other. "Of course." I replied with a smile. "You and your sister sound pretty close."

"I would say it is probably your typical love-hate sibling relationship. We actually argue fairly often, but we know that if something were to happen, we can rely on each other." I smile. "Do you and your brother get along?"

I knew I was getting comfortable when I was the one who brought up family topics I didn't want to talk about. But she still expected an answer. "Yeah, we get along fairly well." I said. We had to, if we didn't get along, I don't know what I would do, how I would survive.

"Thats good" I smile at her. I noticed that she seemed hesitant whenever family topics came up. But I didn't want to push, as she must not want to talk about it. "So did the sorting hat question which house you should be sorted into?"

"No" I replied, even though it was a lie. I had to ask the sorting hat to put me in Slytherin. I was too different from my family that I couldn't risk being in a different house. Father would've disowned me. "What about you?"

"Same. It seems it is my destiny to be a Hufflepuff" I grin. "My poor Mum being the only Slytherin."

I gave a small laugh, "Slytherin is a pretty awesome house if I do say so myself so I'm sure your mom was fine." I assured her with a half forced smile. I liked Slytherin, but only because Draco was in it with me. That was part of the reason I asked the sorting hat to place me there, so I could be with him. That, more than reasons to do with my Father, sent me to Slytherin.

"I'm sure she was" I wink at her, smiling. I decided to change topics; "So what is all this hype about this Harry Potter? I mean, he is just a boy right? No one has really told me anything."
