At least Auntie Walburga was smart enough to recognize the false hope. I nodded, feeling bad for even thinking about it. "Of course," I said to her, bowing my head slightly. "Apologies, Auntie. Regulus was just supposed to be the one to be proud of."

I was not okay with him taking Ember away, so I easily found them again. "Why would you care to meet Ember?" I asked, glaring at him.

I was so glad that October had come back to my side, but she needed to deal with her loss. I stared at the man and was not sure what I saw, but there was something. "I think I know why you want to meet me," I said, shaking my head. "But I am not going to deal with this right now. You can walk away."

I put a hand on Bella's shoulder and squeezed it slightly. "We can still be proud of him if he did not do anything to dishonor the family name," I assured my niece. "And, until anything is proven, he did not. My youngest son will always be the honorable son of mine."Bellatrix Black Lestrange wrote:At least Auntie Walburga was smart enough to recognize the false hope. I chuckled at Potter's gall. "Oh, you definitely have your mother's spunk," I assured her. I thought that this was mighty entertaining.

I pursed my lips and nodded. Auntie Walburga had a point. There was no evidence that he did anything that Darwin or anyone suspected. I was not daft, however, and I was not going to believe that he did not do anything dishonourable. If he did not, where was he? He would not have gotten himself killed or whatever had happened to him. The Death Eaters put out that he had died... but if they truly believed that, Darwin would not be there.
I looked throughout the crowd that had come to show their support and saw Garridan. I looked at my auntie and excused myself. I went over to Gary and cleared my throat. "I am surprised to see you here," I said to him quietly.

I narrowed my eyes. "What does her mother have to do with --" I cut off when I realized what might be going on. I felt ill. I looked at Ember and was glad to see that it did not seem to impact her that much... yet.

I glared at the man because how dare he bring up my mother. I had a feeling that it had nothing to do with my adoptive mother. "You will not say another word to me," I said to him dismissively. "We are done here."

I grabbed Potter's arm. "I don' t believe we are," I said to her. I needed to make sure she knew. I wanted it to haunt her... and I wanted to see exactly who she was inside -- without all the Potter-ness.

I let Bellatrix go over to Ollivander. I had plenty of others to speak to as they paid their respects to my son.
