New Housemate -- March 1997

I laughed, slapping my legs. " Just in a happy mood..." I said eagerly as I felt the heat in my cheeks rise up. George truly has been a good change for me. It was amazing. He was a miracle worker without even realizing it. I figured my brother didn't want to hear it. I can really picture myself being with George. I loved him with every ounce in me.

I raised my eyebrows at her. "Nah, there's got to be a reason. Even on a good day you're not this happy," I tol dher. I knew my sister. Something was up -- it was a good thing, but still, something was up.

I grinned at Elena. "If it's about something you don't want your brother to know, we can kick him to somewhere he can't hear," I suggested, knudging him out of the chair a little to prove I meant it. Even if I was joking around.

I scowled a little at Dean, " I can be happy...and sure I would love to gush it to you." I said with a smile to Addison. Happy to have her there and happy that Dean picked someone who was an actual nice girl.

I just stared at the two of them, insulted. "Excuse me. I would like to know what has my sister all giddy. Is that a crime?" I asked, feeling left out. Granted, I didn't care about the gushy details, but still.

I rolled my eyes. "You are such a baby," I said, laughing. "But seriously, Lenni, you can't be keeping me in suspence. We can keep him out of the loop..." I added, expecting to be a little offended by that even if I was teasing.

I did not like this that much. Maybe Addie could go back down to the basement. I hit her playfully on the arm. "Be nice," I said, looking at both of them.

I grinned, " Bye Dean....nope not being nice....." I said to my brother waving at him as I came over to the couch and pulled the blanket around us. I was dying to gush. " I am dating George... he's so awesome and has totally taken care of me and just been a general sweetheart. Who does everything for me. He is the one who got me to not be in so many fights. He's organizing a concert for me.." I said happily. " I am just feeling super lucky....and just hanging out with him makes me feel so much better....not to mention he is a great kisser.." I laughed at the last part.

Well, fine then. I got up and walked away. So much for having a good seat by the fire. Not that I needed the fire... that was just my favorite place to sit. I was seriously having second thoughts about Addie staying up here now. I mean, I was glad she was... but not if her and my sister ganged up on me. I left the common room and figured I could stretch my legs a little bit to get some blood flowing.

My eyebrows rose when she said something about a concert. "He organized a concert for you? Oh my god, that is so awesome!" I said, trying to keep my voice down. "Oh, Lenni, I am so happy for you!" I gave her a big hug. "A great kisser, eh? Any other juicy details?" I loved juicy details. I couldn'thelp it.

I clapped my hands together. " When he told me I was freaked out at first. I am loving the idea of it more and more. " I said. " I have gotten into less fights. People think I am sick.."

I laughed.  "I do have to say... it is odd you not getting into so many fights," I agreed.  "And you'll do great!  You'll be a natural up there."  If she was anything like her parents she would have no trouble being in the spot light.

" I guess George is just a miracle worker. " I said with a smile. " Thanks! You guys coming to it?" I asked her I had a million different things going on in my mind. I could play them the song I wrote for them.

I grinned at her.  "Of course we'd be there!  We wouldn't miss something like that for you!" I assured her.  I can't believe she felt like she needed to ask.  She was family... we woulnd't miss it for the world.

" Thanks!" I said happily. There is literally nothing that can ruin my mood. " I know it's weird that I'm not fighting...I owe it all to George daring me not to.." I said with a shrug. " I have to win a bet."
