No family is perfect -- Winter 1999
I was not entirely sure if I wanted to deal with Aunt Ally after what Lincoln said had happened between them, but I always loved her. She had been awesome when I was little. After making sure that Lincoln did not mind me seeing her, I had made a lunch date. I found her in a Muggle cafe -- which was odd in itself -- and went over to her. "Aunt Ally," I said to her, seeing the recognition in her eyes the instant she saw me. It had been so many years since I had seen anyone and I gave her a big hug. I could tell that she was healing from some wounds, so I let go when I felt her wince slightly. "Hey..." I added, unsure of what to say.

I smiled at Austin and sat back down. "It is wonderful to see you," I said to hiim quietly. "And, honestly, I can't believe it. I'm sure you've heard plenty of that." I was not entirely sure what to say, but I knew that I wanted to reach out and try to have a relationship with my nephews. I knew I was horrid... but I was trying to turn a new leaf.
