Before School Years:

During School Years:  Garridan easily became mates with Slytherins and Ravenclaws.  Some people could not believe that he was Sorted into Ravenclaw despite the history his family had.  He knew all of the Purebloods as soon as he started at Hogwarts. 


After School Years:  Gary met Monica after he left school.  They had Gabriel rather soon and though Gary stayed in Gabe's life, he and Monica never married.  At least not until they found out Monica was pregnant again.  There was one slight secret that Gary had:  he had quite the romance with Bellatrix Black from the time she was fifteen and he was twenty-one until he decided it was time to settle down with Monica due to having another child on the way.  It was really no secret to Monica that Garridan was fooling around with a young prodigy and whatnot, but she was not going to say a word because she was rather comfortable with the way of life the Ollivander's had.  They were wealthy and they had status.  They basically protected her in ways that most wizards were unable to do so with the darkening times.  Little did Garridan and Monica know, they were on the Dark Lord's radar.  Mere months after their daughter was born, they went missing.  They had been tortured among other things by Death Eaters until there was one Death Eater who had to prove their worth:  Regulus Black, though Bella was standing right behind him.

Now, with how close Gary was with Bella, he became rather close with Regulus as well. He viewed Reg as a younger brother. And Garridan knew that he, in a manner of speaking, helped replace the hole in Reg's heart that was created by Sirius. Gary knew that the Blacks were involved with the Dark Lord, but never in his wildest dreams thought that Regulus would turn on him. In fact, even during the torture, Garridan never thought it was truly Regulus who betrayed him; he knew that he had hurt Bellatrix and it was she who chose to turn on him. She ended up falling for Rodolfo Lestrange shortly after Garridan left her for Monica, but Bella always held grudges. And she merely made her younger cousin carry out her dirty work.
